20. If you walk with the wise, you will gain wisdom, but if you associate with a fool, you will be harmed.
new testament
25. There are no divisions in the body, but the members are made to take care of one another.
26. If one member suffers, all the members suffer together; if one member is glorified, all the members rejoice together.
27. You are the body of Christ, each part of it.
28. God hath established some in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healing, helping one another, governing, and speaking in various tongues.
29. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Are all works of miracles?
30. Do all have the gift of healing, do all speak in tongues, or are all interpreters?
31. Desire the greater gifts, and I will show you the best way.

Title: 5 Reasons for Small Gatherings
1 Corinthians 12:25-31
BR>The development of modern scientific civilization has brought convenience to humans, but on the contrary, it has brought severance and alienation of human relationships. God's will is for man to restore his relationship with God and his relationship with his neighbors. From the time of the early church, God allowed the members to meet each other and experience grace through small gatherings so that their faith could grow.
1. God frees us from self-centered alienation through small gatherings. (1 Corinthians 12:25) God made us, who make up the body of Christ, the church, connect with each other and take care of each other. God wants to give us the joy of being one through small gatherings.
2. It develops spiritual muscles in small gatherings. (Verse 26) You can never grow spiritually just by attending worship and being a passive spectator. God gives us spiritual growth when we participate in small gatherings.
3. He establishes the self-consciousness of true believers. (27) Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). When we are together in a small group, we are shown to the world as a disciple.
4. It enables us to share our mission to the world. (Verses 28-30) When Jesus was on earth, he also belonged to a small group. The church today is the body of Christ on earth. We not only love each other, we share it with the world.
5. It prevents spiritual deterioration. (Verse 31) None of us are immune to temptation. Given the circumstances, anyone can sin. God knows this and has given each of us the responsibility to support each other.
We all have the background and experience to help others. God has given us a unique role to play in His family. Doing this is a gift from God called “ministry.” Small gatherings are places designed by God to allow us to discover, develop, and use our spiritual gifts and talents.
