Acts (137) Six characteristics that make life great (Acts 28:30-31)

< 6 characteristics that make life great >

The book of Acts ends with the story that Paul got a rented house in Rome for two years, lived in detention, and boldly preached the kingdom of God. Tradition tells us that Paul was once released and executed during the great persecution of Christians under Nero in AD 67. Paul made an indomitable devotion for the Lord. He had a clear divine calling and a strong love for the soul, and he was a great apostle with unshakable conviction and authority. When we look at Paul's life, we discover several life characteristics that made him great. What is it?

1. Life without ‘self’

Paul wasn't there. He was bound by the chains of love and was loyal to death for the Lord. He risked his life to work for the gospel, and he never struggled while living a life that was broken. Just like that, soften your relationships but break your life management. Wherever you go, take up your cross boldly. Then it will be hard and hard, but later, such a person will receive blessings and their name will shine. Do not expect honor and blessing without the cross. You need to know how to carry the cross with joy in order to gain happiness and reward.

2. A life that only looks at God

Paul faced countless problems, but he did not focus on the problems themselves. Before the question, “Why? For what? What did I do wrong?” and thinking about this and that, I can't get an answer at all, and eventually I get tired and fall down. When faced with hardship, some people leave God and eventually let go of the blessings that came to the threshold. On the other hand, when faced with hardships, some people draw closer to God and eventually bring blessings into their lives. When problems arise, look to God who is bigger than problems and prepare for new blessings.

3. A life of cooperation

People like Barnabas, Silas, Timothy, Priscilla and Aquila, and Luke were always with Paul. Paul knew the principle of fellowship. Without fellowship there is no personal maturity. The flower of maturity blooms in ‘relationships’. This is also the reason that leaving the church significantly reduces the chance of maturity of faith. If you live in the church, you will experience disappointing aspects in your relationships, but then diagnose your personality and move toward maturity. Blessings of maturity come when I try to speak rather than want someone to talk to, and I am active in holy fellowship.

4. A life beyond calculation

God hates calculating people the most. If we calculate, we cannot do God's work and we cannot receive grace. Also, preoccupation with calculations narrows your field of vision and makes your soul vessel smaller. The apostle Paul knew how to make big calculations by looking at the whole of life rather than human calculations right in front of him. So, I took the current loss well enough. So think of your overall success, not your immediate success. Calculate the small and lose the big. Like the Apostle Paul, looking at life as a whole, making big calculations, and accepting the present losses generously is actually beneficial.

5. A life of holy pride

Even when being tried as a prisoner, Paul said to the king and governor, “Be like me!” As such, while maintaining their sacred pride as saints, “Those who believe in Jesus are definitely different! Do your best to hear them say, “Reliable!” Paul lived in a different world. He spoke with the hope of a resurrection. “If in this life our hope is only in Christ, then of all men we are the most pitiful” (1 Corinthians 15:19). Life doesn't just end with this life. Therefore, use the afterlife as a strong foundation and live holy and confidently.

6. A life that shines in crisis

While being escorted to Rome as a prisoner, when the ship on which the apostle Paul rode met a storm in Juragu, he, a prisoner in the storm, held a breakfast prayer meeting on the ship, saying, “Be at peace now!” Do not be so discouraged in crisis, proclaim in the storm of life. “My soul! Rest assured now! Everyone! Rest assured!” what a cool word Even in the face of crisis in life, keep moving forward towards your dreams and visions. So, be blessed spirits who exalt the name of God and write the history of Acts 29 in a spiritual sense.
