7 Principles for High Yield
2 Corinthians (38) Seven Principles for High Yield (2 Corinthians 9:6-9)
1. Seed Principle
There are few people who do not know the Christian truth that “you reap what you sow”. The problem is that the world is noisy because we do not live by that simple principle. In other words, the problem is to sow the wrong things and reap the heavens. Beans are planted and beans are planted. Beans are planted and beans are grown. If you do good, good will return, and if you do bad, evil will return. Following false beliefs cannot yield good fruit. So, before you focus on the harvest, pay more attention to sowing good seeds.
2. Principle of Quantity
If you sow much, you will reap bountifully; if you sow little you will also reap little (verse 6). There are people who complain to God that they have nothing to reap while living a self-centered life of faith without sowing anything in a stingy state. Such an attitude can never bear good fruit.
3. The principle of sincerity
Not all good seeds are planted. The important thing is to be sincere. Ultimately, planting is not planting seeds, but planting sincerity. When you sow spiritual things, do not sow with stinginess or compulsion, but with a joyful heart (verse 7).
4. The Principle of Grace
Look at verse 8 of the text. “God is able to make all grace abound toward you, so that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, abound to every good work.” Even if a person sows with sincerity, good fruits can never be abundantly harvested unless God gives grace to them.
5. The Principle of Patience
It is not something that you sow and reap in one day. Sometimes it can take years to reap. Sometimes parents sow, sometimes children reap. Therefore, you need to wait. If you try to fit in your own time, heresy will come out. God is not interested in faith without patience. On the other hand, if you do not become discouraged and wait patiently while doing good, you will surely reap good fruits.
6. Principle of Sharing
Why do you give God's overflowing grace? In verse 8 of the text, it is to do many good deeds. The Bible promises that if we share God's grace with the poor, their righteousness will last forever (verse 8). Just as some farmers farm and share with others, the basic principle of life is to try to share with neighbors with the goods created in their field, and the amount of reward and happiness increases when you are faithful to that principle.
7. Principle of Judgment
It is freedom to sow, but not freedom to reap. Judgment is entirely up to God's will. There is no way to change what you plant later. Also, you should not blame God for being judged. What is the use of blaming God after suffering such great harm as losing your health and losing your children? If you blame God instead of blaming yourself for having reaped the wrong fruit, you can lose even the kingdom of heaven.
The present fruit is the reaping of what you sowed in the past. After all, the good things you do now have a seeding meaning towards future blessings. Events taking place on this earth do not end on this earth, but will always have consequences in the future. There is a saying that words become seeds. But actions also become seeds. Salvation comes only through faith, but blessings come through the sowing of good things. Be blessed spirits who always sow much and reap bountifully.
