Title: False Worship (Isaiah 01:11-17)
Content 1. There are not only real things in the world. There are many fakes. In the past, the city of Hong Kong was famous for fake goods. Even now, there are many places with fake goods among famous cities in Southeast Asia.
2. There are fake doctors and fake priests. There are fake grooms and fake brides. Strange things have happened that farm bachelors struggle with marriage, and that's fake brides. There are experts.
3. Even in worship, there are true worship and false worship. Just because we worship at church unconditionally, we must not misunderstand that it is true worship.
I. Worship with wrong offerings is false worship (11-14).
A. God never wants sacrifices.
1. We need to know why sacrifices are necessary. 1) In Leviticus, the types of sacrifices and necessary sacrifices are specified.
2) It was not cash as it is today, but animal and plant offerings.
3) Most of the sacrifices were burnt and offered incense. Animals were killed and offered blood.
4) What God wanted was to make people realize the fear of sin through the image of slaughtering animals.
2. Most people are not interested in why sacrifices are needed, and they unconditionally and habitually offer sacrifices.1) I think that it is best if you donate a lot.
2) Even among pastors, there are some who emphasize only material things too much.
B. God rejected the offering.
1. It's disgusting to the point of dying.
2. Tired.
3. I hate to see the blood of a sacrifice.
4. Incense is just a bad smell in my nose
5. Sabbaths, fasts, prayers, feasts, and all events pretending to be godly are all fraudulent activities. 6. I hate all these things.
C. What kind of sacrifice am I making now?
1. Is it really acceptable to God?
2. Wrong offering II. Worship without answers is wrong worship (15).
A. Wrong prayers are not answered.
1. There was no repentance. Repentance must come first.
2. It was a prayer for lust. It was because we did not ask God's will.
B. Let's pray according to God's standards.
1. The prayer of faith must be answered. 1) There are various types of answers.
2) It is important not to respond to my standards, but to respond to God's standards.
III. Worship without the practice of love is false worship (16-17).
A. Worship is practice.
1. Be honest with yourself.
2. Be honest with your neighbors.
3. Be honest with the powerless. 1) Act God's hand for the oppressed.
2) Be a guardian for those who have lost their husbands.
3) Be a guardian for children without parents.
4. Be a person who relieves the pain of those who are suffering.
B. How am I worshiping now?
1. Isn't it enough to simply serve the church?
2.Aren't you narcissistic about your own feelings?
3. If you try to suffice for any one thing, you are still selfish.
conclusion
1. Not all worship services please God.
2. True worship is only when it meets God's standards.
3. False worship is just a sandcastle.
