Father's heart (John 14:8-12)
Verse 10 says, “Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? Jesus' ministry was to reveal the work of the Father in him. It's not just Jesus who can do this, you can do it too. Verse 12, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father.” In fact, the disciples of Jesus who were so ignorant and incompetent in the early church accomplished the history of Christianity's great revival that surprised the world.
But why haven't we worked so hard all this time? What is the biggest difference between the work of Jesus and our work? The difference is that Jesus has the Father and we do not have the Father. Also, it was a huge difference that my father was working without revealing what he was doing. Jesus knew the Father's heart. Jesus had the Father in him. Jesus revealed to the world what the Father in Him is doing. If we have the heart of a father, we can grow other people as much as we want, and ourselves can grow tremendously. We must have a father's heart to grow.
How can I grow as a father?
1. By looking at the image of Jesus, we can see the heart of the Father.
Through Jesus, we can know the Father's heart. .Jesus and God the Father always walked together. Jesus looked to the Father, listened to the Father's voice, always obeyed the words they heard, and did the things that please him, so he established a close relationship with the Father (John 8:29). If we don't build a close relationship with our father, we won't grow.
2. Let us know the Father's heart through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Those who have received Jesus as their Savior and believe in Him, the Holy Spirit regenerates our spirits so that we can call God Abba, Father (Romans 8:14-16).
3. By forgiving our physical father, we can know the Father's heart.
How about the love of a father's heart revealed in the Bible?
This is well illustrated in the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. When the prodigal son took all his share of his father's property, went to a faraway country, blew up all his debauchery, and returned as a beggar, no one knows, but it was his father who recognized him first and ran to hug him. The father sees the returning prodigal son from afar/ and has compassion/ runs/ hugs his neck/ kisses him, and brings out the best clothes for his servants, puts them on them, and puts the ring on his hands and shoes on his feet. And catch the fattened calf and let us eat and enjoy. My son was dead and is alive again, and I was lost and is found again, and the whole town rejoiced. This is the Father's heart. However, there was a person who was not satisfied with the banquet party that his father gave and complained. He was the eldest son. This eldest son does not know his father's heart. This person knows that love is a give-and-take. Your love is not a give-and-take calculation. Then it's no longer love, it's a deal. But the Father's heart is unconditional love. This is the Father's heart.
“This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased” (Matt. 3:17) on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matt. 17:5). Jesus received the love of Heavenly Father and began His ministry. We must receive the love of our Heavenly Father and do the Lord's work. In all things in the world, we must receive the Father's love and work with the Father's heart so that things can go well and revive. The reason we cannot experience an intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father is because we have not enjoyed a close relationship with our physical Father. Forgive your father if you have not received the love of your physical father, or if you have not been able to establish a close relationship because of the wounds you received from your father. If your father is still alive, do good filial piety until the end. Thank God for having a Father. Good or bad, he is my father. Now, I pray that the wounds you received from your physical father will be completely healed through Jesus, through the work of the Holy Spirit, and by forgiving your physical father.
We must find the Father's heart and embrace the Father's heart to live. If you have a father's heart, you will have revival. Let's save the family with a father's heart. Please do business with a father's heart. Let's serve the church with a father's heart. I am sure that the fire of revival will surely burn. Let's receive the heart of God the Father and sing <Abba, Father> and praise Him. Let's ask the Father for any difficult and difficult problems. Let's make the father happy and live happily in his father's house.
