Fear God!

Introduction

Today, when we talk about hell, we tend to hear it as a funny story or a childish joke, but what would happen if we really went there?

We should note that the sermon on hell is God's word that calls for more urgency than the reference to real problems.

Everyone!

Hell does not disappear just because we do not acknowledge or forget about it.

Dr. A.C. Dixon said, "If we had preached more about hell in the pulpit, there would be fewer hellish realities in our society."

Some people ask, how could a loving God create such a terrible hell?

Hell was not originally a place to imprison people.

Hell was originally prepared for Satan and his angels, who rebelled against God, afflicts and destroys humans (Matthew 25:41).

1. Who goes to Hell?

Those who follow Satan are forced to go there.

Even in today's text, Jesus spoke about hell.

In fact, the Bible says more about hell than about heaven.

Even if it is said once or twice in the Bible, it must be fulfilled.

Jesus' words

(Matthew 25:41) "And he said to them on his left, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."

(Matthew 10:28) "Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot destroy the soul, but fear him who destroys both body and soul in hell."

(Mark 9:48) "Where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched."

(Matthew 5:22) I tell you, everyone who is angry with his brother will be judged, and whoever calls his brother 'raga' will be held in the council, and whoever calls him a fool will be thrown into the fire of hell.

(Matthew 5:30) Also, if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away, for it is profitable for you that one of your bodies is gone and your whole body is not thrown into hell.

(Matthew 18:9) If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter eternal life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fires of hell.

(Matthew 23:15) Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for you travel between sea and land to get one church member, and when they are born, you make them twice as many children of hell than you.

(Matthew 23:33) You serpents, you brood of vipers, how will you escape the judgment of hell?

(Mark 9:43) If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter eternal life crippled than to have two hands and go into the unquenchable fire of hell.

(Mark 9:45) If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter eternal life lame than to have two feet and be thrown into hell.

(Mark 9:47) If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out; for it is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell.

There is the testimony of the Apostle Paul.

2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 “When the Lord Jesus appears from heaven with his mighty angels in flames, he will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. departing from the face and from the glory of his strength, shall be punished with everlasting destruction."

Even Peter argued.

2 Peter 2:4 "God did not forgive the angels who sinned, but cast them into hell and placed them in pits of darkness, to be kept until judgment."

The apostle John said:

Revelation 20:15 "Whoever is not written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire."

Why did the ancestors of faith shout these words until they were martyred?

2. What kind of place is Hell?

Everyone in the world believes it or not, hell does exist.

Jesus specifically mentioned what Hell was like.

Where is Hell?

It is not a place that was created as a virtual place to prevent sin.

Names in the Bible are:

<A lake that burns with fire and sulfur> <Abyss> <Fire that devours>

<A place where you grind your teeth when you are sad> <A place where there is a commotion of fear>

<A place with unquenchable fire> is hell. [Matthew 5:22, Revelation 20:10, 14:15, 21:8, Mark 9:48]

① It is a hot and thirsty place

②However, it is a place where even a drop of water is not allowed.

③ This is the place to go and grieve.

Hell is a place of unspeakable pain

The fact that there are maggots that do not die means that physical pain and spiritual pain exist together.

④Hell is the place where all good and good are separated

Separated from God, separated from all his grace and blessings, separated from all natural benefits. So not even a drop of water is allowed

It also separates you from your loved ones. Living with your loved ones is a blessing.

(Matthew 25:41) This is the place where the command is issued: leave me, you cursed, and enter into everlasting fire.

⑤ It is a place from which you can never come out again.

Every house has an emergency exit, and every prison has a door. It means a hope that can come right out. But in Hell, once you enter, there is no way out.

There is a day to be released from prison and a day to be discharged from prison, but there is no promise in hell.

Hell, once entered, must be tormented there forever.

These are the people I live with.

Revelation 21:8 says, "But the fearful and the unbeliever, the wicked and the murderers, the fornicators, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. It's death," he said.

This is the place where Satan the devil and his minions must live.

3. The only way to escape hell is in Jesus Christ.

Saints! There is a way to escape hell.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me."

We are people who escaped hell and entered heaven. Hallelujah!

It is said that a rich rancher in Texas, USA tried to enter Buckingham Palace in England while traveling the world. At this time, the gatekeeper said, "Entering the royal palace is not about paying money to enter.

If you receive an invitation from the king, you can enter without even a single dollar, but if you do not receive an invitation, you cannot enter even if you pay tens of thousands of dollars."

The same is true of the heaven prepared by God.

Through the blood of Jesus Christ. As long as there is evidence of the forgiveness of sins, you can enter without money or merit.

You and I are the people of heaven who have already been saved through the merits of the blood of Jesus Christ. Are you Amen?

In Scotland, England, there was an iron bridge that crossed a canyon.

A shepherd passed by early in the morning and found that the columns supporting the iron bridge had collapsed due to the heavy rain and storm that blew last night. Just then, this shepherd heard the train's miracle from afar and ran down the railroad track in the direction the train was coming. A train carrying hundreds of passengers is coming. The boy took off his clothes and signaled to stay, but the engineer thought it was a joke and ran to him with a miracle, but the train stopped abruptly as the boy kept running without getting out of the way. However, the boy was found dead in pieces, and the iron bridge in front of him had been broken. The engineer spoke with tears in his eyes.

"If this shepherd hadn't died for us, we would all be dead."

Jesus jumped between us and hell and saved us all by being crucified...

4. The mission of a saved Christian

Anyone who believes in this Jesus will not go to hell. Hallelujah!(3)

But Jesus tells us to listen to those who cry out in hell.

Luke 16:19-31 In the parable of Jesus, He shows hell through a rich man and tells him how to live through his last cry.

He tells us not to lay up treasure on earth, but lay it up in heaven.

The rich man knew how to lay up treasures only on earth, but he could not lay them up in heaven.

Although Lazarus was a beggar on earth, he was rich in spirit.

Today, Jesus tells the story of a rich man who does not know how to die and says he has many things, and it is written, "So shall be the man who lays up wealth for himself and is not rich toward God." Those who have nothing to accumulate for God! Those who are not rich toward God are truly foolish people.

This rich man's appeal from hell is a reminder of the mission of the church and of the Christian

This foolish rich man is earnestly looking forward to passing it on to his five brothers in Hell. His request is what the Church and Christians earnestly ask for to fulfill their mission.

What is the mission of the church and its members?

It is to rescue souls from falling into hell. Evangelism is a task that demands urgency and urgency

This is because you have to rescue your family from falling to hell in a hurry.

What is the noblest thing? Evangelism. 'Cause it's up to you to get out of hell

What's the best enemy?.Evangelism. 'Cause it's up to you to get out of hell

What would be the best practice of love? It is conduction. Because it saves you from hell.

The most important and urgent thing is evangelism.

Jesus mentioned the urgency of evangelism.

Luke 14:21 says, “Go out quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring the poor, the sick, the blind and the lame.”

The reason why Jesus urges the church to do this urgent mission of evangelism is because there is no chance of repentance once the short temporal life of man is over.

Teacher Paul

2 Timothy 4:1 - "I solemnly command you to preach the word, in season and out of season," he says, "by his appearing and his kingdom in the presence of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead before God."

He sternly tells us to always do our best, in season or out of season.
