Title: Fear of Israel

Contents

Joseph's face when he met his brother after 20 years was very rough. He treats his brothers as spies on purpose. Why? Because I love you. Why did you put your brothers in prison? It's not that I'm in a hurry. It's not just about having a taste. It was to cure them. Of course, you can forgive easily. But I know that that's not the only love. Joseph wanted to heal the deep guilt in them. The brothers have been living with each other's guilt for 20 years. It wasn't just Joseph who was hurt. The brothers suffered as well. What you can see here is that you can't live comfortably without making it hurt.

Another thing to notice is that one of the types of guilty people is that they are good at self-packaging.

42:11 'they are upright', 42:13:'one is gone' It doesn't say that he was sold to Egypt, but that he was gone.

Joseph tells him to bring his younger brother. This is what Joseph touched the consciences of his brothers. When you hear the word “youngest brother”, who will come to mind in your hyungs’ heads? They remembered the Joseph they had sold. It touches your conscience, so what? Finally, the brothers begin to have a repentant heart

21: ‘I have sinned’ ‘I saw trouble in his heart, but he did not listen’

22: ‘Sin’, ‘his blood has been paid’

What we can learn from this is that even those who have never been aware of sin begin to realize it when they suffer. An inner sin that I never remembered begins to come to mind. This is the work of the Holy Spirit, and this is God's purpose in giving suffering.

Usually, humans don't remember what they hurt. We don't remember the things we ignored, insulted, or trampled on the people below, but we remember everything that hurt us. However, the Holy Spirit remembers the sins and wounds that have been forgotten and plays the role of repenting.

If you look at the Confessions written by St. Augustine, Augustine was truly a prodigal before he believed in Jesus, he was a flirt, he enjoyed pleasures, and he was engrossed in heresy, but if you look at the Confessions, he repents even of the sins he committed while suckling his mother. Repentance and repentance are all works of the Holy Spirit.

In the 23rd, they had an interpreter, and the brothers thought that Joseph didn't understand what they were saying.

Why do we lie and sin? We also sin because we think that God does not know what we do or say. But we must remember that God hears and knows everything we think and say.

Joseph can't weep in front of his brothers, so we weep where they are not there, and then he comes back and puts money and grain together and sends them back. What you can see from this appearance is that Joseph was cold-hearted on the outside.

But on the inside, he was generous and had a soft and warm heart.

Looking at Joseph, there is no record that Joseph fought with anyone. Maybe the couple didn't even have a fight. But, without fighting anyone else, with whom? You would compete with yourself, you would fight with yourself. He fought his laziness and laziness, conquered loneliness, and fought against the desire to be comfortable and won. I hope that we too will not fight against others, but will fight with ourselves and win.

The victory or defeat of our human life is determined by the 'relationship'. There are three types of relationships: I hope that your relationship with God, your relationship with your neighbors, and your relationship with yourself will be smooth.

So there is this saying. “The size of your life is proportional to the size of your heart.” How many and diverse people you have in your heart determines the size of that person's life. Being able to embrace someone I don't like is awesome.

So, how can I open my heart?

1) We must pray. If you pray, you will embrace people you cannot embrace.

2) When you give love, your heart expands. When you forgive, it expands.

Joseph also gave a lot of grain and returned the money. There are two appearances.

Outwardly, just as Joseph was ruthless, God can seem harsh and terrifying on the outside. God harshly trains his children. So Joseph was sent to prison, and Jesus was also put to death on the cross. It's a tough look. But then God weeps. tears are shed why? Because God's original intention was not that. For example, the only son goes to enlist with a shaved head. At that time, my father steadfastly said, 'Because everyone else is doing it, do your best and come.' But the father sheds tears as he sees the back of his son. because I love my son

The prophet Jeremiah knew this kind of heart.

Lamentations 3:33 “It is not your intention that you should suffer and grieve through life”

So right now, just because I'm having a hard time, because things aren't working, or because I'm struggling, I shouldn't blame the Lord. It is because it is not God's original intention that I suffer in this world. It is a whip to grow our character and faith, and then we turn and weep.

Do the brothers know Joseph's heart? Never know. So are we.

I hope that we will be able to understand the heart of seeing the Lord.

At 35, I turned all the sacks upside down, and money was pouring out of them. Father Israel's response to this is 36-38

In a word, it is a figure of trembling in fear, despair and lamentation. Jacob is said to be the father of faith, but this is not the case at all. Now, I am filled with human sorrow that my youngest son is finally taken away. That is why I am so sad.

What is Jacob's mistake here? It means that you do not see what is happening to you from the point of view of faith, but from a human point of view. Then you can only be sad and hopeless.

As we go through life, we will encounter cases similar to those of Jacob. In that case, don't be discouraged, and I hope you can see the event from the point of view of faith. why? We have no coincidence. Because everything is God's plan and providence. How could they possibly know that this event would eventually lead to the meeting of Joseph? So are we. Whether it is a good situation or a bad situation, it is important from what perspective you look at it. If you can see everything from the point of view of Christ, that is a blessing.

Eventually, through this process, Joseph and his brothers reconcile and forgive. What we learn here is that without reconciliation, a person cannot be happy in any way he or she pursues happiness. Joseph had already forgiven his brothers. But he had to let them know that he had forgiven his brothers. Likewise, we need to let the other person know that we have forgiven, even if we have already forgiven. Reconciliation is not achieved by forgiving alone. Forgiveness makes you happy. Also, being forgiven makes you happy. This is a basic requirement for happiness in life.

I hope that we will be on the path to true happiness by looking at all our surroundings from the perspective of faith
