Title: Feed My Lamb (John 21:15-19)
Contents
The text tells us that the resurrected Lord handed over the mission of shepherding to Peter, who had denied the Lord three times just before His ascension into heaven.
First, the life of Jesus consistent with shepherding
① “Feed my lambs...” and the words of the will that take over the mission of the shepherd ② The life of Jesus who became flesh and came into the world is the work of regenerating the chosen ones as children of God and being born again He said that he was consistent in the work of shepherding, perfecting them as men of God and nurturing them to be perfect for every good work. ③The work that Jesus did is God’s purpose, it is the central work of all things in heaven and under heaven, and it is a precious and precious work that will be welcomed and glorified by God and all creation forever ④Thank you for handing over this work to us Let's do 5. The Lord did not come to build the world and improve society... He did not come to build the kingdom of heaven on earth, but to cultivate and harvest perfect people.
Second, the qualification of a shepherd is to love the Lord.
①“Do you love me…” After confirming love, he transferred the responsibility of shepherding. ②Therefore, the qualifications of a shepherd to take care of the Lord's sheep are not worldly, academic background, character, family, wealth, authority, or any ability, but love to love the Lord more than anything else. ③ In the world, even a pedagogical scholar from a Zainichi family cannot properly raise a stepmother without love for her children. ④ Moses' mother, Jochebed, was an ignorant, incompetent, and lowly slave, but she raised Moses as a great leader who overthrew Pharaoh, who was the strongest in the world at the time, and liberates his people with one love for God, himself, and his son Moses. ⑤ Let's get the gift of love from the Holy Spirit and become successful in shepherding.
Third, the means of shepherding is maternal love.
Fourth, the success of the shepherd must bear the cross.
① "When you grow old, you will spread Nepal, and others will gird you and take you where you do not want to go." This means that you must die on the cross to succeed in shepherding. ②Jesus died on the cross to save the life of the sheep. ③“Unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” ④The only way to save a sheep is to die. If you don't die, you don't live. ⑤ Jesus also rose from the dead and raised all the elect.
