Title: Fight hard for the way of faith Text: Jude 1:3-4
The life of a saint is always a life of fighting. It is a battle against evil spirits and their minions. The history of this spiritual warfare began in the Garden of Eden. Many Christians were killed in this war, and many Christians were torn by Satan's teeth because of this war. Still, this war has always been passed down as a victory for Christians. In the end of this final war, Christians will win, and Jesus Christ will win. In particular, Christians are the ones who have been called as soldiers for this war. It is the Christians who put on the full armor of the gospel and came to the battlefield at the command of the commander, Jesus Christ. 2 Timothy 2:3-4 In particular, the book of Jude was written by Judas, the brother of Jesus. This epistle is an exhortation to fight against Satan's temptations. False teachers are tempting the saints with false words. Do not fall into such temptations, defeat them, and do not tolerate evil spirits that make the saints fall.
1. Who was the message given to?
2. What do you have to fight for?
(Jude 1:3) Saints must fight for the way of faith. The ‘way of faith’ here is speaking the gospel. The saints are those who fight for the gospel. Those who fight to keep their faith. Because the gospel leads us to salvation. 2 Timothy 3:15 Christians are not those who fight for other things, but those who fight for the gospel. You can yield everything else, but not for the sake of the gospel. That is why we risk our lives on faith and fight. 1 Timothy 6:1
3. Who are we fighting against?
(Jude 1:4 You need to know the enemy to win the war. These are the ones who came into us quietly. To 'come in quietly' means to sneak in. What kind of people sneak in? A thief sneaks in. Those who want to harm you come in. Sinners come in. The Bible also says about those who sneak in. It is said that a farmer sowed grain, but his enemies sneaked in at night and sowed weeds. Gal 2 :4 Heretics are secretly infiltrating the church, seducing the saints, and trying to take them as their own servants, those who make the grace of God an object of lust, those who do not use grace as grace but as sin. Also, these are those who deny Jesus Christ, those who do not believe in Jesus as their Savior.
