If so, filial piety can be said to be the first sacrifice that is pleasing to God.
Unfortunately, God's command to show respect for parents is natural and priority, but in reality, there are not many children who show respect for their parents. Of course, there may be many reasons for not showing disrespect. Some reasons for not being respectful may well be understandable.
However, as long as children are alive, they must realize that the parents who gave birth to and raised them are the greatest and greatest gift of the Lord. Also, we must know that it was because of our parents that we were able to live without any problems, no matter how much we were upset, so rebellious, or stubborn, while we were being raised. Where are the people who have superhuman love who do not spare all kinds of toil and toil, even when there is no reason to love or the conditions for labor and toil, or vice versa? Those who believe in the Lord should not be reproached either in filial piety or in respect. Verse 8 says, “If anyone does not take care of his relatives, especially his family, he has betrayed the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.” Clearly, there is no clue attached to this solemn statement that adoptive parents or stepchildren are an exception. Christianity does not neglect or cut off the bond of blood, relatives, or family, but rather sublimate it to the love of the Lord.
3. Parents Receiving God's Reward
In the early church, the true widow, who had no descendants, had to be listed and looked after by the church of God, as follows. She must be over 60 years old, a wife to one husband, and a widow who pursued all good works, such as raising children, hospitalizing strangers, washing the feet of the saints, and helping those in affliction.
These words are the parents' qualification to receive God's reward, and they are also qualified to receive the respect that comes from the heart of their children.
Everyone! Since our children are God's commands, we hope that they will be able to do filial piety with joy and joy, not reluctantly. To this end, our parents must raise their children through prayer and the Word, and set an example of good deeds of faith to their growing children. You can usually find that there were great mothers of faith behind the great workers of God.
