Title: Find a job that suits you
Find a job that suits you
Text/ John 5:17, John 21:15-24, 1 Corinthians 12:-31
1. Introduction
In today's text John 21:15-23, Jesus prophesied Peter's future. When Peter heard the words of this prophecy, what was the future of John, who was next to Jesus? asked. Then Jesus said, “Peter, if I want him to stay until I come back into the world, what does it matter to you? You follow me.” That is, each person has a different work to do in Jesus. Peter said it is right for you to be faithful in your work and John to be faithful in John's work.
In today's text 1 Corinthians 12:1-1-31, the apostle Paul said that the Holy Spirit poured out different gifts (apostles, prophets, teachers, healing, tongues, etc.) on each person. you said it was right.
The Bible acknowledges that there are people with five talents, people with two talents, and people with one talent. Each person has a different personality, temperament, personality, aptitude, talent, gift, and circumstance. Here, the grand principle is established that each person should do what he likes, is good at, and that suits him.
2. Each person must find work that he likes, is good at, and that suits him
This great principle applies not only to the Church but also to society. According to Thomas Stanley, author of The Millionaire Next Door, most of the wealthiest Americans choose their careers either by accident (29%), by trial and error (27%), or by merging with a previous job. It is said that they chose their profession through relationships (12%). 68% of America's richest people report that they liked the job they chose, did it well, and found it a good fit for them.
Extroverts do introverts, introverts do extroverts, artistic people do scientific things, scientific people do artistic things, field type people do office work For an office-type person to do field work, it cannot be beneficial not only to the person himself but also to the church and society. However, in our reality, it is not uncommon for people to do things that are not suitable for them due to rising in church and social status, age, bureaucracy and face.
In order to be recognized and praised by the church or society, the most important thing is to figure out who you are, what you are good at, what you like, and what you want to do, and find a job that suits you.
3. The secret to finding a job that I like, am good at, and that suits me?
first.去去去中知 行行行裏覺 (Geogeogeoji Haenghaengnigak: Go and go, you will know, if you do and do and do, you will realize). There are four ontological forms of work (work=vocation=mission=work=vocation=job=business) ecclesiastical and social.
(One). It's a job that I like and that suits me, and the pay (money = honor = praise) is good.
(2). It's a job that I like and that suits me, and the pay is low.
(3). It's a job that pays a lot of money while doing something I don't want to do.
(4). It's a job that I don't want to do and pay low wages.
Of course, the job in (1) is the best. But if I choose to live in this (1) profession, what kind of job is right for me to sit still? One day while thinking about it, one day - "This is it!" And there is no way it is revealed. In the field of life, if you do this or that or any other task with all your heart, you will realize on your own your talents that I did not know that were hidden inside of me and find the work that suits you. It would be more accurate to say that something that suits you will naturally come to light rather than finding it.
second. There is no Lee Tae-baek (placenta in their twenties is white). There are only fools who are unprepared. After graduating from college, mythologist Joseph Campbell spent five years building a hut in the woods of Woodstock, New York, and studying mythology. At that time, Shinhwa did not have a job where they could earn a living. It was white. However, his mythological story finally caught people's attention, and after that he became a full professor at Sarah Lawrence University and a world authority in mythology (refer to Classic Artworks Nos. 386, 388, 419 of the Fountain of the Word).
third. Work is not 一朝之患, but 終身之優. It is a word from Mencius 離婁(下)篇. A gentleman means that he is not bound by the worries and anxieties of daily life, but is concerned about the ultimate goal of his life that he will pursue throughout his life.
The death of Admiral Yi Sun-sin for the rest of his life was a deadly Japanese enemy. Park Kyung-ri's Lifetime Erasure was a land of epic novels that took 25 years to complete. It is the fountain of the Word that erases the life of Lee Jung-soo. Today, many people see work as a way of making a living. I believe that work should be done for life, not a hoax.
