Title: Finding Happiness (Matthew 05:3-12)
Content: Everyone wants to be happy. Either way, everyone wants to be happy. Some find happiness in acquiring wealth. Some find happiness in gaining power. Some find it in enjoying the pleasures of the world. Some find happiness in their children or in their wives, husbands, or lovers. Also, some seek happiness through religion. In other words, they want to find happiness in their lives using religion.
Is this search for happiness and method right? We cannot blame this method, but we cannot say that it is right. It stems from a misunderstanding of religion.
Religion is a combination of 宗 and 敎 to teach. In other words, religion is the highest, deepest, and last teaching that teaches people to live as human beings.
Life is about learning and living. Not only the school is a place of learning, but every place in life is a place of learning. They live their lives by learning from various places such as family, neighbors, relatives, school, and work. You must learn to find happiness in life. You must learn the standard of true happiness in life. True religion teaches that. It teaches you how to live life to the fullest.
That is what Jesus taught. It taught people how to live happily as a human being. Jesus said to us, 'You are precious sons and daughters of God. Realize this fact, know it, and live as a child of God.” What God, the Father, wants is the happiness of his children. That is why he teaches the way.
'Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven; blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted', 'Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth' Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied', 'Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God', 'Blessed are the peacemakers, for they are the sons of God. 'Blessed are you when they insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of cruelty against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven.'
Jesus taught this: But, how different are those who claim to believe in Jesus? They deceive the world by shouting the end of the time limit, and the behavior of fanatical religious people, such as the Youngsaenggyo incident, the murder of Takmyeong, the nephew of a fanatic aunt, is different from the life of Jesus they believe and follow. It is very different from teaching.
Jesus still calls us today. They say, "Repent! If you live as you do now, you will all die! Turn around quickly." To die does not mean only the death of the body due to old age. If you don't live your life, it means you will die soon.
When you see a person whose soul is dying along with the body, don't go away. If you go, you will die. The way to live is here. It is to teach them that the way to enjoy true blessings and live forever is here. 'If you want to live in eternal happiness, follow me, follow me, live according to what I teach, you will live forever like me. I am the way.'
God wants human beings to enjoy eternal happiness and life. He gave great love to allow this. That love was a love of service that washed the feet of the sacrifice of life. He taught and lived that the true happiness of life consists in sharing and serving like this.
If we set out to find true happiness, we should always keep this truth in mind. When you share love, love is doubled as much as it is shared. The more you serve others, the more respect you return. What is important is the practice of serving and sharing love with each other first. Knowing that this is the essence of religion, there will be no more out-of-mind faith that destroys human beings and children of God. It is urgent in this age to restore the essence of happiness pursued by faith.
