Title: Finding Life/John 3:16
Content Searching Life/John 3:16
Key Verse: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
The late Matsushita Konosuke, who was the chairman of the Matsushita Group, visited the Matsushita Exhibition Hall without anyone knowing one day during the Osaka Expo. There were a long line of people in front of the exhibition hall. He went to the end of the line and waited for his turn. President Matsushita invited me to enter first. But he said, “How can I get in first when I see people waiting in line in such a hot weather? Don't worry about how long it will take.” He stood for two hours in the sweltering heat. Arriving at the entrance, he instructed the janitor to make paper hats and distribute them to all visitors to the Matsushita Exhibition Hall. Matsushita's instructions immediately had a huge advertising effect on Matsushita Electric. It was none other than because many people were walking around the fairground wearing hats with the Matsushita Electric's logo on them. Matsushita's small sincerity and kindness towards its customers has returned to Matsushita as a big reward.
Not long ago, a fire insurance company launched the service under the slogan of 'visit service'. It is a declaration that we will actually practice services that reach out to customers directly. This means that we will move forward to satisfy customers from the customer's point of view and further impress them.
Many people tend to look at others only from my point of view. It is a selfish attitude that puts me first and puts others first. But our Lord has come for me. It means that he has come to visit me. You came to this world, the world of creation, with a low status. The Lord did not wait for us, but came to us directly. Then, what should I do with the Lord who is close to me? This is the question I am being asked today. At least, let's not belittle him who has come to me. Shouldn't we bring him into my life and into my home? And like the Lord, let's go to someone, someone who needs me and waits eagerly for me.
Prayer: Who will I seek today? With the heart of the Lord, let me reach out my hand first. Don't let me judge and draw conclusions based on me, and let me kneel in humility and service. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
