Title: First, Second, and Last/Hebrews 7:27
Contents The tabernacle consists of three parts: the court, the sanctuary, and the most holy place.
The courtyard is a place where ordinary people can enter and exit, and the holy place can have priests and only the high priest can enter the most holy place.
A curtain embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and finely braided linen is hung between the Holy of Holies and the Holy of Holies. It is normally closed, but is opened once a year.
It is considered a truly blessed nation that God loved the people of Israel and that they received the grace to restore their relationship with God by offering a sin offering even if they sinned.
If you have committed a personal sin, you can bring the designated offering to the priest and offer it as a sin offering. However, there are cases when a person commits a sin and then forgets it. Also, although it is clearly a sin, it may be regarded as not a sin. One day, he thought he had to offer a sin offering, and he was busy with work, so he postponed it until the next day and forgot the opportunity. However, whether intentional or not, sin must be judged by God. However, because God loves Israel so much, He has established the ordinance to offer a sin offering once a year to blot out the sins committed in the past.
Ordinary sin offerings are performed by the priest at the altar of burnt offering, but the great sin offering is performed by the high priest in the Most Holy on the 10th of July. On this day, ordinary priests must also stand outside the tent of meeting with the people. Only the high priest could enter the tabernacle alone. Various rituals are followed here, and I will omit those words and give only the main point.
1. Jesus Christ Himself
There are many priests working in the tabernacle, but there is only one high priest. In order to be qualified to offer sacrifices for the people, he must first bathe himself and offer a bull as a sin offering for himself. To become a priest, you must first be clean, but no human being is qualified to offer sacrifices. Because the high priest himself needs a sin offering for himself.
However, because our Jesus was without sin, he could immediately offer a sin offering for mankind. This is what the text I read a little while ago today speaks of that.
There is also a lesson to be taught here. The work of redemption can only be accomplished through Jesus Christ. A savior has met in Korea. Sun Myung Moon, Tae Sun Park, and many other people say that they are the saviors to save humans, but they can only say that they are scammers or psychopaths.
Now, see, in the tabernacle, only the high priest works alone for the sin offering. The general priest must wait outside the door of the tent of meeting with the general worshipers so quietly that he cannot even breathe.
2. Atonement Sacrifice
The high priest may enter the Most Holy with the blood of bulls and goats. Without this blood, no one could but die. However, this blood has no power to wash away human sins forever. So we had to repeat the same ritual every year. Hebrews 9:26 Then he must have suffered often from the creation of the world, but now he has appeared at the end of the world to take away sin by the sacrifice of himself once for all.
Hebrews 9:11 Christ came as high priest of the good things to come, with a greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
Hebrews 9:12 And not with the blood of goats and calves, but with his own blood he entered the sanctuary once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
Hebrews 9:13 When the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkle on the unclean, to purify the flesh 2 and sanctify it,
Hebrews 9:14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Everyone, although it is temporary, if the blood of animals can atone for human sins and have the power to enter the Holy of Holies, how much more can the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, not atone for human sins?
After offering a sin offering with the blood of a goat, the high priest puts his hand on the head of the living Azazel goat and confesses the sins of the people of Israel.
Leviticus 16:21 And Aaron shall put his hands on the head of the living goat and confess all the unrighteousness of the children of Israel and all their sins, and put their sins on the head of the goat, and leave it to a certain man to send into the wilderness
Leviticus 16:22 And when the goat has taken all their iniquity to the point of unknowing, he shall let it go in the wilderness.
The living goat will take away all the iniquity and all the sins of Israel and disappear into the wilderness. When John the Baptist saw Jesus, he said, "Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world." If the goat carried the sins of Israel, would it be lacking if it was carried by Jesus Christ, the Son of God?
1 Peter 2:24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, because we
that you might die to righteousness and live to righteousness; by his wounds you were healed.
Heb 10:17 And their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more.
Micah 7:19 ?쏦e will have mercy on us again, and will tread our iniquities under his feet, and cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.??3. The Blessing of the Atonement Offering
About 1960 years ago, on Calvary, the great sin offering was offered, but it was offered with the body and blood of the Holy Spirit.
Now that we have our sins forgiven, injustices are blotted out, and we can live a new life, we will praise God with thanks and serve with joy. 1 Corinthians 6:20 It was bought with a price, so glorify God in your body. Those who know and are convinced of the way of redemption believe that they will be faithful, saying what I will repay.
Second - Let's enjoy the blessings of entering the Most Holy
In the Old Testament era, only the high priest could enter the Holy of Holies on one day a year. However, in the New Testament era, the saints received the blessing of being able to enter the Holy of Holies within the veil through the merits of the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus died on the cross, the veil of the Holy and the Most Holy was broken, and the Holy of Holies was opened. Heb 10:19 Therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the Holy Place by the blood of Jesus.
Heb 10:20 The way is a new and living way that he opened for us through the veil, and the veil is his flesh.
The Catholic doctrine that human beings are sinful and lacking, dare not approach God or approach God, and seek God by borrowing the power of Maria or the apostles is a far cry
Ephesians 3:12 In him we have confidence and access to God through faith in him. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Beloved, I feel very pity for those who have received such a blessing and do not know how to enjoy it and consider it a heavy burden. I pray that all of us will become saints who can enjoy the authority as children of God. Amen
