Title: Flesh Body, Spiritual Body: Easter Sermon
Contents
1. Words that begin
Thoughts that claim life after death vary widely, they can be broadly divided into three categories.
The first is the idea of the immortality of the soul.
It is only the body that is believed to surround the soul that dies, and the soul that is in the body never dies.
The souls of those who have lived well in this world enter the world of the gods, and the souls of those who are not are drifting in the air, possessing a living person, reincarnating as a human, being born as an animal or other living being, or entering the world of eternal suffering. that it falls.
Second, it is the idea of the resurrection of the body.
It is the idea of a sect of Judaism, that after a person dies, the very person who died comes back to life.
2. Resurrection of the physical body and the spiritual body
The Apostle Paul, who was well versed in the thoughts of all ages and ages, explains how the resurrection of the dead takes place.
First, the resurrection of the dead is planting in perishability and resurrecting incorruption.
When the present human, a physical body that is destined to decay, dies and is buried, it is resurrected as a human being, a spiritual body with the opposite characteristics.
Second, the resurrection of the dead is sown in dishonor and rise in glory.
When the present human, a fleshly body, which is disgraceful for comparative value, dies and is buried, it is resurrected as a human being, a spiritual body with glorious characteristics.
Third, the resurrection of the dead is the planting of the weak and the resurrection of the strong. Here, we contrast the differences in ability.
When the present human, a weak and limited physical body, dies and is buried, it is resurrected as a human being, a spiritual body with strong characteristics.
In a word, it is planting in a physical body and living again in a spiritual body.
Just as our present body is a physical body, we who will be resurrected in the future will become a spiritual body.
Everyone, please believe that when we die, God raises us up with a body suitable for eternal glory and eternal life in the spiritual realm of eternal glory, that is, an incorruptible, glorious, and strong body.
Human beings, as creatures, also clone sheep, clone monkeys, make a doe grow horns, freeze the dead and then resurrect them, and even try to clone humans themselves. Why can't we believe that God, according to His will, raised Jesus Christ, who was doomed to take the sins of the world?
Do you know what the will of Noh OO, who passed away from stomach cancer at the age of 63, was the day before?
The day after his baptism, OO Lee, who died of kidney cancer at the age of 67, confessed as follows.
“It’s so good to be baptized. I am thrilled. I want to go to heaven quickly. Thank you."
Those who have faith in the resurrection are ordinary people in the world, but they are heroes of faith who showed the image of a great believer who transcends death that even heroic heroes fear. I don't know how they usually live.
But surely they are eternal victors who have overcome death in the Lord who has risen and is still at work.
I hope you will unite with the risen Lord and live with faith that transcends life and death.
3. Two Adams Representing Humanity
The apostle Paul, who explained the difference between the physical body and the spiritual body to be resurrected, contrasts the two Adams, who can be said to be the progenitors of the two bodies, Adam and Christ.
“The first man Adam became a living spirit” is a reference to Genesis 2:7.
“The Lord God formed man from the dust, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul.”
The living spirit, or living spirit, is psiken premature birth (ψυχ?ν ζ?σαν), meaning the same thing as the life of an animal.
Therefore, to say that Adam became a living spirit means that he is the first human being with a physical or natural life leading a natural life.
When we say that “the last Adam became a life-giving spirit,” we mean that the resurrected Christ can give new, not natural, life to those he wants at any time.
In particular, the “spirit” here is made up of pneuma (πνε?μα), which means the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ. , implying that we become a being who lives in heaven with spiritual life.
In other words, just as the Lord, who is eternal life, enjoys eternal life in heaven, believers who believe in the Lord and are resurrected by the power of God become spiritual humans who enjoy eternal life in heaven.
However, just as Adam, who is not a spiritual person, but a natural person comes first, and Christ, who is a spiritual person, comes second, so humans are born and live as a natural person first, and then become a spiritual person by the grace of the Lord after death.
Just as the first man, Adam, was born from the earth and belongs to the dust, but the second man, Christ, was born from the eternal kingdom of heaven and belongs to the kingdom of heaven, so humans are also born from the earth and belong to the earth, but by the grace of the Lord they become people of the kingdom of heaven.
We who believe in the Lord will be resurrected by the power of God's love and take on the image of the Lord who belongs to heaven.
While preparing for a sermon, I read an article about the origins of colored eggs at the church on Easter.
One day, a beautiful woman named Mosarin came to a village. Her husband went to the military, and the house she lived in had been taken away by a bad person, and she was a woman making a living by begging. Mozarind, who was living such a difficult life, was cared for by a kind-hearted landlord. Soon, the word spread throughout the village, and the villagers helped Mozarind.
Mozarind was devising to repay the favor of the villagers, and decided to repay him by raising chickens.
At that time, chickens were so precious that only the rich kept them. So Mozarind found chickens from afar and raised them well, and their numbers grew day by day. On Easter that year, Mozarind held a feast, inviting all the children of the village, and handing out carefully colored eggs to all the children. in that egg
“Let us trust in the God who protects us. God is love, and he helps the good-hearted.” Of course, the children were very happy and went home reading the article.
The egg, which was unable to move even a single part of its body, is reborn as a new life, a chick, as the mother chicken incubates it. That's not all.
Stronger, more vibrant, more expansive. You will be able to walk and live more gloriously.
4. Conclusion
1 John 5:12 says, “He who has the Son has life, and he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” We who believe in the Lord, the Son of God, already enjoy partial but resurrection life. Please believe that in the future, you will be resurrected with a spiritual body that is immortal, glorious, and strong, and that you will live a life in heaven like the Lord. We earnestly pray that all of us will enjoy a life of victory that transcends life and death through the resurrection faith.
