Title: Food of Christ (John 04:27-42)
(1) It was in the perfection of God's will and work (John 4:34)
(2) It was to please God the Father (John 8:29)
(3) was to glorify the Father (John 8:50)
(4) It was in keeping the Father's commandments (John 15:10)
(5) was to sanctify the name of God the Father (John 8 49)
(6) It was in preaching the word of God the Father (John 12:49-50) (7) It was in revealing the Father (John 14:9) (8) It was in expressing the love of God the Father (John 4:9). That was the goal. It was his duty to do good, and he did not do it only with joy, but he did this as his own food to eat and drink. One of the Old Testament saints, Job, said in the words of Job 23:12, “I have not disobeyed the commandments of his lips, and I have valued the words of his mouth more than regular food.” However, Christ, who is the chief of the New Testament church, went one step further than Job and said that God's work was his food. Although the people of the world are zealous for other work, it is common to be lazy in the work of salvation, which is God's work. However, we will have to overcome this reality and persevere. No matter what the world slanders us, we will follow in the footsteps of Christ.
