Old Testament
13. In the evening quails came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was dew around the camp.
14. After the dew had dried, there was something small and round and fine like frost on the ground of the wilderness.
15. And when the children of Israel saw it, they did not know what it was, but they said to one another, What is this? And Moses said to them, This is the bread the LORD has given you to eat.

16. Thus saith the LORD, Each of you shall gather this as much as he may eat, one omer for each of you, according to the number of you; each one in his tent.
You shall reap for them.”
17. So the children of Israel did, and they gathered many things and few.
18. In the omelet, those who gathered much had no surplus, and those who gathered little did not lack, and each one gathered only as much as he could eat.
19. Moses said to them, Let no one leave it until morning.
20. They disobeyed Moses, and some left them until morning, and worms grew and they smelled, and Moses was angry with them.
new testament
13. When Jesus heard this, he got into the boat and left by himself to an empty field. When the crowd heard it, they followed him on foot from the towns.
14. When Jesus came out and saw a great crowd, He had compassion on them and healed the sick among them.
15. When evening came, the disciples came to him and said, “This place is empty, and it is already late. Send the crowds away so that they can go into the village and buy food.
16. Jesus said to him, "I have nothing to go. Give me something to eat."
17. The disciples said, "We have only five loaves and two fish."
18. He said, Bring it to me.
19. He commanded the crowd to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven and gave thanks, and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, who gave them to the crowd.
20. They ate when they were full, and gathered the remaining pieces in twelve baskets.
21. And there were five thousand who ate, besides women and children.

Have you ever worried about running out of things to write? Have you ever been worried about what to do if you run out of food after being fired from your job and not earning money, spending what you have earned like a dried persimmon? Did you actually starve as you feared? Anxiety and worry are familiar habits, but God tells us to trust that He supplies the necessities of His beloved children. How does God provide for our needs?
1. He will provide you with what you need. : When God gave manna in the wilderness, the Israelites went out to gather it. They gathered much and little, but when they looked at the omer, they who gathered much did not have any leftovers, and those who gathered little did not lack anything (verses 17, 18).
2. Give us our daily bread every day. : “Every morning the crowd gathered as much as they could eat, and when the sun was scorching, it fell apart” (verse 21). God's food does not have to worry about what we will eat tomorrow. Because tomorrow he will give you the food for that day again.
3. Our main job is to believe. : On the eve of the Sabbath, he gave us two days' worth of food so that we could eat without harvesting on the Sabbath (verses 22-30). What is our main occupation, whether we are living or believing? Believing is our main job, and a living is our second job. For the people of God, believing takes precedence over anything in the world. Because when we believe, God provides for our needs.
God trained the Israelites with manna. He wanted to teach the taste of heaven to those who were accustomed to the taste of the world and wanted to eat only the world, and to know the true satisfaction and joy of being satisfied with the things of heaven. Knowing the taste of heavenly food fills us with grace and gratitude.
