Title: Foolish / Galatians 3:1-5

Content is foolishness (Galatians 3:1-5) - Lecture 4

However, looking at the people who live in the world, it is undeniable that many people live for their own enjoyment and for self-exaltation. Everything that a person thinks while doing something, 'what other people will say when they see this' comes from the nature of wanting to show off and show off. However, those who live by the Holy Spirit first think about whether this is pleasing to God or not. It is the opposite of human nature. Humans cannot overcome the nature they have from birth. In other words, human beings cannot change the things they are meant to live in the body from birth.

It is said that after Adam sinned, the image of God disappeared. It is said that after the image of God disappeared, man became flesh. In other words, humans who are supposed to represent God have been reduced to beings who struggle to express themselves and prove themselves. Because this is human nature, no one can overcome it. Because they want to show themselves to others, they care about how other people live. In the end, you will end up hurting yourself for not being able to live better than others, and you will end up resenting and complaining to God. This is the human form. However, an existence that overcomes this appears. He is Noah. But Noah paid no attention to how other people lived, and only cared about what God had done for him. However, it was not in his own strength that Noah lived not for his own pleasure but for the joy of God's righteousness. In Genesis 6:8, it says, 'But Noah found favor with the Lord.' That is, because Noah received God's favor, he was able to show that he did not live in the world in the flesh but in the Spirit.

It is impossible for a person who lives in the flesh to become a person who lives by the Spirit by human means or technology. It is only possible when the Holy Spirit is with us by the grace of God. When the Holy Spirit is with us, that person becomes a person who lives by the Holy Spirit and becomes a person belonging to the Holy Spirit who can show Jesus Christ. If we look at 1 Corinthians 12:12, we can see that there are those who have received the spirit of the world and those who have received the spirit that has come from God. There is a difference between those who have received the spirit of the world and those who have received the spirit of God. Those who have received the spirit of the world show off their self and live in the world with the joy that they show. will see However, those who have received the Spirit from God will be able to appreciate and rejoice in all the gifts that God has given by grace. For those who live by the Holy Spirit, the center of all life is God. Unlike people who live in the flesh, who ignore the things that please God for their own enjoyment, they live life with gratitude knowing that everything and all these things come from God.

Today we must not be fools. What began in the Spirit must not be finished in the flesh. If you start with grace, I want you to go on with grace until the end. We have to live a life that does not trust the body, but only trusts and relies on grace. Trying to show off my joy in front of me is hurting myself and living with a lot of burdens. The greatest and most valuable person in the sight of God is not the one who shows himself, but the one who lives in the world with a desire to show God.
