Title: Foolish Pharaoh Text: Exodus 5:1-9

Now Moses and Aaron stood before Pharaoh, the king of Egypt. And he tells them to let the Israelites go according to the word God had given them. This is not Moses consulting with Pharaoh, not obtaining consent, nor compromising. This is a command. It is God's command. There can be no compromise in God's work. If it is a command from God, it must be obeyed unconditionally.

1. A fool is one who denies God.

Exodus 5:2 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Who is the LORD, that I should hear his voice and let Israel go..." Here, “who is Jehovah…” means “who is Jehovah?” These are challenging words and deeds toward God. What does this mean before the powerful gods of Egypt, even if there is a God? It is a venomous saying. This means that God, who has not done anything even though you have been slaves for 430 years, is going to do what he is going to do now. This attitude shows that the fallen life shows stubbornness, ignorance, and folly against God the Creator, and that it is on the road to destruction.

Who is the stupidest person in this world? Someone who says there is no God. The Bible says in Psalm 14:1, “The fool says in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt and their deeds are abominable; there is no one who does good.”

2. A fool is one who disobeys the will of God.

3. A fool is greedy for what belongs to God as his own.
