Introduction
Dear saint! Mark 3:20-35 records that whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother. People are jealous of the success of others and try to frame him and knock him down. As Jesus' fame rises through his ministry, more and more people are envying him and accusing him.
First: The accusation of being crazy (Mark 3:20-21, 31-35).
Jesus' public ministry was a short period of three years. But he did what no one else could do. So I had to be busy. Because people always flock around Jesus. It was so busy that we didn't even have time to eat. There were people who spread false rumors that they went crazy even though they couldn't help Jesus who was busy doing so many things. When Jesus' mother Mary and his brothers heard the news, they came to arrest Jesus. If we are even a little zealous for the Lord, we are condemned. Are you being criticized by your family or those around you?
Second: The sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit (Mark 3:22-30).
As the news of Jesus spread to Jerusalem, the religious leaders of Jerusalem sent some scribes to investigate. After they came to Galilee to see and hear the work of Jesus, the conclusion they reached was that Jesus cast out demons through the power of the king of demons. Beelzebub, the god of Eglon, means the king of demons and Satan, and in a scornful sense, it is also used to mean the great king of Paris. They also acknowledged that what Jesus was doing was beyond the ability of ordinary human beings. However, they made the mistake of deliberately claiming that the work of the Holy Spirit was the work of an evil spirit. All human sins and blasphemy can be forgiven, but the sin of blaspheming the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven. When they tried to frame Jesus, they fell into a trap.
conclusion
Dear saint! The Lord's work proceeded vigorously in spite of envy. Like Jesus, let us be faithful to the Lord. -Amen-
Prayer: Our Lord Jesus Christ! Please do not make the mistake of blaspheming the work of the Holy Spirit.
