- To ‘glorify’ means to ‘acknowledge’. This isn't about making things that don't exist. Human eyes were so blind that we did not know who God was, but when we came to understand what God was like through certain events, we acknowledge that He is God and kneel, that is, glorifying God. 3) Why it is important to live for the name of God
