Bible Text: 2 Chronicles 4:1-6 Title: For Holiness!
God's people are called holy people.
Let's pay attention to 1 Peter 1:14-16.
14 Do not, like obedient children, take as an example your own lusts, which you formerly pursued when you did not know them.
15 But as the Holy One who called you, be holy in all your conduct.
16 For it is written, I am holy, so be ye holy.
Also in Genesis 17:1
1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram,
He said to him, "I am God Almighty; walk before me and be perfect.
This is what sets God apart from all others.
It is not holy because it is good-looking and outstanding, but God has set it apart and called it.
It is holy because it was given. God not only called the people of Israel
Ordained ordinances for holiness.
All of the instruments mentioned in this text are designed for this purpose.
1. Making a bronze altar
The altar is a place where sacrifices are made, which means spiritual communion with God.
Holy people, that is, we Christians, communicate with God through worship.
You have to keep socializing (transportation).
He who communicates with God is holy.
2. Making a sea of brass
The Sea of Nod was the place where the holy priests washed for sanctification.
In order to come before God, we must wash away our sins.
The only way to wash is the blood of Jesus Christ.
The waters of the sea of bronze do not wash away human sins and are without blemish.
Only the blood of Christ, like a spotless lamb, is possible.
In 1 Peter 1:18-19
18 Knowing that you were redeemed from the vain deeds inherited from your fathers,
It was not made with perishable things like silver or gold.
19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.
3. Make a laver
The laver was made to wash the things belonging to the burnt offering.
Because uncleanness was not acceptable before God.
I had to give only the clean ones.
Whatever we give before God,
should not give You should give only the clean ones.
