Title: For Public Officials/Mt 26:47-54
Contents For public officials/Mt 26:47~54
Key Verse: “Do you know that I cannot ask my Father to send more than twelve angels now? How will the scriptures be fulfilled, saying, “If I do so, these things will happen” (verses 53-54).
There are many civil servants in our country. Civil servants need to remember a few things in conducting their official duties. First, it is to work for the country and its people. You're not there to make money, or to get fame or to get ahead. Second, those who live on the taxes paid by the people. Therefore, you must do your best in what you do. Dasan Jeong Yak-yong emphasizes that the house of a public official should not be larger than that of the people, that the house of a public official should not be larger than that of the people, that the clothes of the public official's family should not be better than that of the people, and that public officials should not have more luggage than when they move. Third, we must work for the country and the people with a sense of stewardship rather than a sense of bureaucracy. We must treat the people with an attitude of service and humility.
Let's pray for our public officials to live with a sense of public mission. If civil servants live right, the country will be renewed and clean, and the area in which I live will be renewed.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please let the government officials of this country know that everything they do is a precious mission for the country and the people, and let God's comfort be with them on their hard work. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
