Old Testament
15 When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, 'Maybe Joseph hate us and repay us for all the evil we have done to him.
16 And he spoke to Joseph, saying, Before your father died, he commanded, saying,
17 Thus ye shall say to Joseph, If your brothers have done evil to you, now please forgive them their transgressions and sins. For our sins, the servants of your Father's God,
Forgive me now.” And Joseph wept when he heard what they were saying to him.
18 His brothers also came himself, and fell on their faces before Joseph, saying, We are thy servants.
19 And Joseph said to them, "Do not be afraid; will I be for God?
20 You tried to harm me, but God turned it into good, so that as it is today, the lives of many people are saved. 21 Do not be afraid, I will feed you and your children, and comfort them with earnest words.
new testament
21 Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, if my brother sins against me, how many times shall I forgive him? Up to seven times?"
22 Jesus said to him, "I tell you, not only seven times, but seven times up to seventy times."
23 Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a king who tried to settle accounts with his servants.
24 At the time of the settlement, he brought in a man who owed ten thousand talents.
25 Because he had nothing to repay, his master commanded that he sell his body, his wife, his children, and all that he had, and make a payment.
26 The servant fell on his face and worshiped him, saying, Be patient with me, and I will repay you all.
27 The master of the servant had pity and let him go, and forgave the debt.
28 The servant went out, and found a fellow man who owed him a hundred denarii, seized him, and grabbed him by the neck, saying, Pay the debt.
29 His companion fell on his face and begged, saying, Be patient with me, and I will repay you.
30 He did not allow it, but went there and imprisoned him to pay off his debt.
31 When his companions saw it, they felt very sorry for it, so they went to their master and reported it all
32 Then the master called him and said, "You wicked servant, I forgave you all your debt because you prayed."
33 Should you not have pity on your fellow man as I have compassion on you?
34 And his master was angry, and he handed him over to the prisoners to pay all the debt.
35 My heavenly Father will do the same to you, unless each of you forgive his brother from the heart.

What is the secret to forgiveness?
Peter was very excited and asked Jesus a question. “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how many times shall I forgive him, or up to seven times?” To the Jews, 7 was a perfect number. Peter thought he would be perfect if he forgives seven times, so he may have asked because he wanted to be praised by Jesus.
But Jesus' answer was different from Peter's expectations.
“Not only seven times, but seven times up to seventy times,” he said. Rather than commending him, Peter carried a greater burden. I had to forgive 70 times more than I thought.
It is the same as attaching a hump while trying to remove the hump.
It is virtually impossible to forgive seventy times seven.
So should we give up and turn around? no.
There is a secret to keeping the commandments of the Lord. It is the Lord coming in me. I can't keep even one of the laws, so I'm trying to keep the Lord's commandments
Otherwise, we will either give up because we are tired or become hypocrites who only pretend to keep.
To be honest, let me admit that I cannot forgive myself.
And let us receive again Jesus Christ, who forgave the sins of all people on the cross. Then the Lord will come into me and work out forgiveness.
This is the Lord's plan.
