Title: Fountain of Life/John 4:13-14
Content The spring water is a symbol of God's infinite grace. Therefore, spring water is a source of blessing. Because being with God is the fountain of life. Through the words of Deuteronomy 9:7-10, God said, "The valleys flow with springs, a land of wheat and barley, a land of grapes, figs, pomegranates, and olive trees, and honey.
By drinking the spring water of the water of life that God gives us, we are strengthened daily and our spirit is renewed day by day. (Psalm 104:10) "The Lord made springs springing up in the valleys and flowing between the mountains." God's grace comes to our spring water church in full. God allowed this altar to make a fountain of grace spring up through our spring water church and to rain down the rain of the Holy Spirit. All these graces enrich and rejoice in the hearts of the saints.
God said, "The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, and a escape from the snares of death" (Proverbs 14:27). He also said, "He who drinks the water that I will give him will never thirst, and the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water springing up to eternal life" (John 4:14).
As I was reading these words, God was moved and gave me the name of spring water.
God's word is like a spring of water.
It is always new like spring water.
Also, the word of God always springs up like a spring of water.
It is as cool as spring water.
It does not dry up like spring water.
It always overflows like a spring.
It gives refreshment to those who drink it like a spring.
And even if it is cloudy like spring water, it becomes clear after a while.
In this age we live in, we are not thirsty because there is no water to drink. It's because my heart is going. These words springing up and flowing like a spring of water will give us newness and courage. It will give recovery to the weary soul. It will make a person thirsty for many things in life.
Therefore, our spring water church must be centered on the Word. In order to be filled with the Word of God and live according to the Word of God, we must learn, strive, and strive. Then you will experience the grace that springs up like a spring of water.
Our spring water church has a goal.
*Motto: Church that increases daily (Acts 2:47)
*Goal: ① A missionary church, that is, a church that shares, a church that practices love.
② It will be a church that educates, that is, a church that values the Word of God and lives by the Word.
③ A church that serves, that is, a church that serves and serves the Lord by maximizing the talents the Lord has given us is our goal.
Our spring water church is a church with the same characteristics as the spring water, glorifying God and forming a gracious church.
1. Anyone who is thirsty comes and drinks the spring water to quench their thirst.
In this way, our spring water church should be a church that shares love and welcomes each other in the name of Christ. In other words, it must be a church without discrimination or distinction. The reality of our society, which is divided and marginalized by economic power, academic background, male and female, status, and region, should not be repeated in the church.
Our spring water church should be a church without discrimination in the love of Jesus. It is a church without consciousness because I did a lot of volunteer work, because I donated a lot, and because I learned a lot.
2. The spring water is rather warm in the cold winter.
There is a story like this.
That's right. Even a small love, this kind of love gives warmth. Has not the love of Jesus given warmth to our hearts and lives? Let's make a church that gives warmth like this spring water. I hope that you will become saints with warmth.
3. Spring water gives coolness in hot summer.
Our spring water church must also be refreshed with the word. This should not be the other way around. It should not be cold in winter and hot in summer. Normally our church should be a warm and cool church when needed. To do this, you need love.
4. The spring water does not dry out and springs up again and again, no matter how much you give it.
Let's not live stingy. Let's share the grace we have. Let us give the material we have given to those in need. Then it doesn't go away. You can taste the grace like a spring of water springing up again.
There are two different seas in Israel.
One is the Dead Sea. The characteristic of this sea is that it is located at a very low level, so it receives water from here and there, but does not send it out. So it is an ocean that only receives and does not give. Then, shouldn't this sea be richer? But it is not. The sea that only receives and collects is barren because fish cannot survive and plants and trees do not grow well around it. That is why the Dead Sea is called the Dead Sea. But another sea, the Sea of Galilee, is different. It is also called the Sea of Galilee because it is small by sea. This Sea of Galilee is a sea that receives water from here and there, but sends it back. This Sea of Galilee, the Sea of the Lord, is rich in fish. So many fishermen live here by catching fish. And plants and trees are lush and abundant all around.
That's right. God's word is truth. If you give and give in the name of the Lord, it does not wither away, but springs up like a spring of water. We hope that our beloved saints will experience the grace of this spring and live.
5. The spring water refreshes and clears again after cloudy.
When we live armed with the Word of God, which is like a spring of water, we gain new strength. A clouded life, a life that was dark and annoying, changes and becomes clear again with the Word. The spirit is renewed. Therefore, I must let the Word of God claim me. God is the source of existence for all people. People began in God, and the final destination that people inevitably go to is God. He said, "I will give to those who thirst from the spring of the water of life freely." This is an indication of God's grace to give us what our members long for in our hearts. It means that the fountain of living water, the source of living water, is freely given to those who are thirsty. This grace has also come to us. Let us thank you for this grace.
When the Israelites were freed from slavery in Egypt and went to the promised land of Canaan, they had to walk through a rough and dry land (Jeremiah 2:6). There was no road in the wilderness (Job 12:24). A hot wind blew (Jeremiah 4:11). As we walk through the wilderness of this life, a strong thirst arises. To quench their thirst for life, they must find a spring. The spring water gushes out of the spring. If they drink this spring water, they will be able to regain their vigor and courage to walk the path of life again.
It says that when the Israelites came to Elim, there were twelve springs of water and seventy palms, and there they tented their waters and rested (Exodus 15:27). The spring water flowed in the spring. Elim here is also called the temple. The source of living water was the temple. When living water flows from the temple, the word of God is preached through the temple (Ezekiel 47:1-2). The temple is overflowing with living water, the living water of the spirit. (John 7:38) He said, "Whoever believes in me, as the Bible says, from his belly will flow rivers of living water."
Only the spring water, the water of life obtained through Jesus, makes our life rich and shiny, and makes our life green and fresh. We receive grace through prayer, testimony, and singing, but the grace we receive through the word of the Lord is like a tree planted by a stream.
(Psalm 1:3) "Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scorners, but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is a tree planted by streams of water. As autumn bears fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither, so all its events will prosper.”
When the souls who are exhausted from the rough road of life long for the spring of the water of life, God will give them abundantly without cost.
(Isaiah 55:1-3) "Come, you who thirst, come to the waters, and he who has no money, come, buy, and eat; but come, buy wine and milk without price... obey me, and you will eat good things, and your hearts will be rich. You will find joy in it..."
I hope that you will remember clearly that God has allowed the spring water church to give us grace like spring water, remember the meaning of spring water, and enjoy the grace of spring water abundantly. Let us fully receive the word of God, which is the fountain of life. Armed with the Word, let us live right in this harsh world, so that we can bring the grace of the spring water to all thirsty and thirsty souls.
