Title: Freedom
Contents
5:1 Christ has set us free, so stand firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.
5:2 Behold, I, Paul, say to you, that if you are circumcised, Christ will do you no benefit.
5:3 Again I testify to everyone who is circumcised, who is obligated to do the whole law.
5:4 You who seek to be justified by the law are cut off from Christ and fall from grace.
5:5 By faith in the Spirit we wait for the hope of righteousness.
5:6 In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any effect, except faith working through love.
5:7 You ran well, and who stopped you from obeying the truth?
5:8 The counsel does not come from him who called you.
5:9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
5:10 I am sure in the Lord that you will have no other heart, but whoever stirs you up will be judged.
5:11 Brethren, if I had preached circumcision until now, why would I be persecuted until now? Then the stumbling block of the cross would have been removed.
5:12 Those who trouble you, I want to cut down on you.
5:13 For you were called to freedom, brethren, but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
5:14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: Love thy neighbor as thyself.
5:15 If you bite and eat each other, be careful least you perish one another.
