Title: Frontal Breakthrough/Numbers 14:4-10
Content Breakthrough / Numbers 14:4-10
Then they said to one another, "Let us appoint a captain and return to Egypt." So Moses and Aaron fell down before all the congregation of the children of Israel. And Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who had explored the land, took off their clothes. and said to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, The land we went through and searched for is a very good land; if the LORD is pleased with us, he will bring us into it and give it to us, for it is milk and honey. This is a flowing land, but do not rebel against the LORD, nor fear the people of the land; they are our bread; their guardian has departed from them, and the LORD is with us. Do not fear them, but the whole congregation will stone them. At the same time, the glory of the Lord appeared to all the children of Israel in this tent of meeting.
I think that the members of the church during our time are those who pay tithing better than any other church. According to statistics surveyed by a professor, our church belongs to a church that is good at giving nearly twice as much as the national average. And it is a church that is better at donating than any other church of our level in our area. It's not because there are a lot of rich people who pay large tithes. Because it is small but has more tithing people than other churches. Although we have not done any exact research, we know that most of our members are tithing. I am proud of it. It is not that the church is proud of its finances, but that it is proud of the dedication of its members. Sometimes I hear what church members say that churches shouldn't boast about their numbers and finances. That's right. I think so too. However, it is not shameful that the number of members is large and the church's finances are generous. This is because there are many people who do not do their best and pretend that they have little money and numbers as if they were not greedy and clean.
Therefore, now is the time to pray for the church. Please pray for the church whenever you pray for a meal. Please pray for the construction of the church, the finances of the church, and all the work of the church. This year, during the Holy Week, we are going to hold a special early morning prayer meeting. I hope that even for just one week, you will be able to come to church at dawn and pray for the country and for those in need. When such powers of prayer are united, the church will gain greater strength and experience the amazing history of revival and growth during crisis. Today's verse is a verse we know well. The spies who returned from spying on Canaan made a desperate report. There is no doubt that Canaan is a land flowing with milk and honey, but since all the people living in that land are long-lived, it was impossible for us to conquer the land on our own. However, when Joshua and Caleb saw the same thing, they had different opinions. They are big and we are small, and they are strong, and indeed we are weak, but we have God.
Because God gave them to us, they were our food. When the ten spies told us to run away, Joshua and Caleb urged us to go up. It was a call to break through head-on. They believed that the bigger the food God gave us, the better. We are now facing the crisis of the IMF. From a human point of view, it is a big and strong opponent that cannot be handled. But we have God. We cannot handle it on our own, but I believe that when God is with us, we will be able to overcome this crisis. If it is a crisis to be overcome, it is better to be big and strong. Because only then will the pleasure of victory be great. let's not die Personally, I'm more motivated because it's been a tough year for me.
Because it's worth a try. Don't run away. Let's not run away. Let's not make excuses. Let's be more alert with faith in God and try to break through it head-on. I believe that the greater the crisis, the greater the joy of victory. I hope that all of you and I will be able to glorify God with a great victory.
