Title: Fruit of Light/Ephesians 5:8-9

Contents Bible Ephesians 5:8-9

Title: Fruit of Light

Ephesians 5:8 You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

Ephesians 5:9 For the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

There is a saying that frogs do not know the age of tadpoles. This is a metaphor for a person who has let go of the difficult days of the past and lives wrongly today.

The apostle Paul is teaching the Ephesian church members the Word of God by contrasting the present and the past and the past and the present.

Believers are those who think of the past, give thanks to God for today, and pray in hope for tomorrow.

If a person is stuck in the past, there will be no progress. Also, if you are immersed in the present, you are easily arrogant or frustrated.

We must remember the past, live today, look to the future, and live today by faith.

What was the past of the Ephesian church members?

Ephesians 2:1 He made you, who were dead in your trespasses and sins, alive.

Ephesians 2:2 In those days you walked in the midst of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience.

Ephesians 2:3 In the midst of which we all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh,

By doing what the body and mind wanted, like others, by nature, they were children of wrath.

Ephesians 2:4 God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love for us

Ephesians 2:5 who made us, who were dead in our trespasses, made alive together with Christ Jesus (by grace you have been saved)

Ephesians 2:11 Think therefore, that ye were then Gentiles in the flesh, and

Those who are called uncircumcised by those who are called circumcised in the flesh.

Ephesians 2:12 At that time you were outside Christ and outside the kingdom of Israel, strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

Ephesians 2:13 Now you, who were formerly afar off, are in Christ Jesus

draw near with blood

Today's text also speaks in preparation for the past, present, and future.

5:8 You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

darkness - darkness, gloom, - ignorance of divine things and human duties, and moreover, ungodliness and immorality.

But now it is now the light in the Lord.

God does not take issue with the repented past.

We do not question our past in Christ. God values the present and the future.

When the Lord forgave the woman caught in adultery, the words of the Lord also forgive me, so do not sin again. You did.

In the past you were and were, but now you are light in the Lord.

The meaning of the word “in” in the Lord means to be in.

Jesus also used the word in a lot, and the apostle Paul used the word in a lot.

“If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.

You are new creatures in Greece, new people...

When we say that we are in the Lord, the word “in the Lord” contains many meanings that cannot be explained with a single word.

To be in the Lord means to be in the Lord.

// // // This means that we are under the grace of the Lord's atoning work.

// // // Obey the Lord's teachings.

// // This means that we believe in the Lord.

// // It means that we are following the path of the Lord.

In the past you were outside the Lord and you lived in darkness, but now that you are in the Lord, you are light. What an amazing change. Darkness and light are opposites. They cannot coexist. We can't be together.

When light enters a place where there is darkness, the darkness disappears.

Where there is light, darkness cannot enter. When the light disappears, darkness naturally comes in.

The word “light in the Lord” means that outside the Lord, there is no light.

On the 15th day after the Lunar New Year, it is called Daeboreum.

On the 15th day of the lunar calendar, a round full moon appears. It is bright enough to read even under moonlight. However, the moon does not emit its own light.

Beautiful moonlight is the light that receives and reflects the sunlight. Without the bright sun, there is no moonlight.

Mal 4:2 For you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise and heal

A beam of light will come, and you will go out like calves out of the stall.

I will run

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God

The Word is God

John 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not understand it.

John 1: 9 There was the true light, which came into the world and gave light to every man.

John 8:12 And Jesus spoke again, saying, I am the light of the world; follow me

He who will not walk in darkness will have the light of life.

John 12:36 Believe in the light while you still have the light, and the

will become sons. When Jesus had said these words, he left them and

he hides

If we follow Jesus and believe in Jesus, we must live a light life.

Now you are light in the Lord, walk as children of light

The fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

If we are in the Lord and live a life that believes and follows Jesus, we will bear the fruit of light.

The fruit of this light is all goodness, righteousness, and truth.

Goodness is a heart and deeds that glorify our Heavenly Father.

Matthew 5:12 “In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and give glory to your Father in heaven.”

It refers to a life that bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit by following the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Love, joy, peace, long-suffering mercy, goodness, loyalty, gentleness, temperance...

Righteousness means doing what is right in the eyes of God. Right thoughts, feelings and actions

A person whose will or thought is in harmony with the will of God

Sincerity (Aledea) means that the basis of your thoughts and actions is Jesus Christ.

The truth is that Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” It is the same word as the truth you spoke when you spoke.

Do we have the fruit of light?

Is there anything in our conduct that will glorify God?

// Are your actions acceptable in God's sight?

“I saw David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart…”

// In truth, do you think in Christ and act in the Lord?
