Ephesians 5:8 You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.
Ephesians 5:9 For the fruit of the light is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.
There is a saying that frogs do not know the age of tadpoles. This is a metaphor for a person who has let go of the difficult days of the past and lives wrongly today.
The apostle Paul is teaching the Ephesian church members the Word of God by contrasting the present and the past and the past and the present.
Believers are those who think of the past, give thanks to God for today, and pray in hope for tomorrow.
If a person is stuck in the past, there will be no progress. Also, if you are immersed in the present, you are easily arrogant or frustrated.
We must remember the past, live today, look to the future, and live today by faith.
What was the past of the Ephesian church members?
Ephesians 2:1 He made you, who were dead in your trespasses and sins, alive.

5:8 You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light.

When we say that we are in the Lord, the word “in the Lord” contains many meanings that cannot be explained with a single word.
To be in the Lord means to be in the Lord.

When light enters a place where there is darkness, the darkness disappears.
Where there is light, darkness cannot enter. When the light disappears, darkness naturally comes in.
The word “light in the Lord” means that outside the Lord, there is no light.

Goodness is a heart and deeds that glorify our Heavenly Father.

Righteousness means doing what is right in the eyes of God. Right thoughts, feelings and actions
A person whose will or thought is in harmony with the will of God
Sincerity (Aledea) means that the basis of your thoughts and actions is Jesus Christ.
The truth is that Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me.” It is the same word as the truth you spoke when you spoke.
