Joy of the fruit of the Spirit (Philippians 4:4-7)
Jesus was passing by the gates of heaven, standing next to Peter and judging those who entered. As an old man stood at the door, Jesus asked him. “What is your job?” “Yes, I am a humble carpenter.” Then Jesus approached and asked. “Then do you have any children?” “Yes, I had a son. I have pegs in my hands and feet.” When Jesus heard his grandfather's words, tears welled up in his eyes. “No, meeting your father here… .” Then Grandpa said in a hoarse voice. “No, then are you Pinocchio?”
A man has been arrested by the police for stealing a car. The police questioned him about his crime. “What did you steal someone else’s car for?” Then the man replied nervously, as if he was unfair. “I did not steal. It was built in front of the cemetery, so I thought the owner was dead!”
It's really good that people can laugh. There is a saying that expresses laughter. Laughter also means breaking frozen thoughts. There is a German proverb that says, "Laughter sounds farther than weeping." A crying person only sees their pain, but a smiling person opens themselves up to the world.
[John Fitzgerald Kennedy] put it this way.
People have their own way of life and live according to that frame. So I think based on that frame, and based on that frame, I am unhappy, happy, happy, and sad. By looking at it, it is often distinguished whether it has or not. In any case, we need to reconsider the fact that true joy and happiness comes from the person's correct values.
We have an inescapable prejudiced mind. Most people who like me can like me too, but it's really hard to like someone who doesn't like me. However, Paul says that one must be able to overcome this today to know true joy. To do this, we need to fill our hearts with the Holy Spirit. To have a tolerant heart, we must let the Holy Spirit rule over us. That is why we say that joy is the fruit of the Spirit. In that way, instead of being shaken by the people around me, I can become a joy to others first and not take away the joy of others because of me. It is really bad especially to take the joy of others. There are people who offend them by telling them things they shouldn't. There are people who scrape and crumble things that do not need to be told to them. He's someone you really need to think about. You don't have to say anything that doesn't benefit him. Because this is someone who takes away the joy of others. He is the one who should seek wisdom from the Holy Spirit.
Dear saints, People of the Holy Spirit are people who know true joy. As in verse 6, those who are anxious about everything have negative values, and those who know how to ask with thanksgiving are those who have positive values. Those who live with positive values can enjoy the joy of God. May we know that the joy we should possess today is the joy we should always enjoy. Please understand that our joy today, obtained as the fruit of the Holy Spirit, is a joy we should enjoy not only with ourselves but also with everyone else.
