Title: Full Faith John 1:1-3
Everyone wants to bear the fruits of power and history in their lives. However, in order to do that, we must first plow the old field of our hearts and plant the seeds of the Word. Three conditions are necessary for the seed of the Word to be well planted.
First, we must know the will of God. First of all, we need to know what God wants to give us and what He requires of us. When God's chosen people of Israel did not obey His word, He told them through the prophets in every age to repent and return.
What is God's will? It refers to the obedience of faith based on the attributes of God. God is not the one who blesses us if we go to church on Sundays, donate well, and do good service. This outward faith was better kept by the Pharisees 2000 years ago. But the Bible said they were not saved. Seek to understand the will of God contained in the Word. Then God will enlighten you. Just like the saying that He wants to know Him more than sacrifice, God wants to know His true heart and act according to His will, rather than being superficial.
Second, we must plant the Word in our hearts. This means that we should keep the will and thoughts of God in our hearts. These days, we are engulfed in a lot of information. Secular culture, such as the Internet, newspapers, and TV, dominates the spiritual world. How can we plant the Word in our hearts that are being controlled like this? It is the only way to constantly meditate on the Word. If you read and read the Word again and again, even if you have cluttered thoughts, the Word dispels them. As we read the Word, the path of the heart is created in our soul. Then the peace of God will rule that path, and the path of the heart that only the Lord and I know will be prepared. This is the phenomenon of the word being planted.
Third, we must renew our minds. The mind is different from thoughts and character, and it is also different from emotions. The mind means the ‘complete inner man’, that is, the whole soul. It doesn't just mean changing words and changing one habit in life, it means a complete change of life. It means to put away all bad habits, dispositions, and evil thoughts and actions and to be renewed spiritually.
This is a life change. In this way, complete faith is born. Faith is not immediately planted. Faith grows when the seed of the Word is sown in the heart. Then you will be able to make such a confession. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; behold, the new has come” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
