Bible Characters - Cain
Genesis 4:1-7 Adam slept with his wife Eve, and Eve became pregnant and gave birth to Cain, saying, “I have a son from the Lord.” He also gave birth to Abel, Cain's brother, who was a shepherd, and Cain was a farmer. After many years Cain sacrificed from the produce of the land and offered it to the Lord, and Abel himself offered the firstborn of the sheep and their fat. The Lord accepted Abel and his offering, but did not accept Cain and his offering. In anger, the countenance changed, and the LORD said to Cain, "What is your anger, and what is the change in your countenance? If you do good, you are not welcome. If you do not do good, sin lies at the door. be willing, but you shall rule over sin.
1. How does sin enter man?
Always approaching like an angel of light. comes in plausibly. Sweet and convincing. However, similar results lead to opposite results. In what ways does Satan still tempt humans? Satan doesn't come with horns because he has a low IQ. It comes in cunning ways and shakes us, the church, and the group of God. It comes in a clever way. If you don't discern, you don't know
Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden because there is a tree of eternal life. But in God's judgment, grace lurks. God's love and mercy coexist in the rules. No parent feels good when a parent beats the wrong child. As much as the child is sick, the parent is also sick.
Adam and Eve had no choice but to leave the Garden of Eden. because he has sinned. Man can be an instrument of God's glory, but he can also be a gateway to Satan.
2. Cain's Birth
Cain (obtained) - Cain means acquisition and possession. I got this child from God. I thought that I would not be able to have a child because of sin, but it means that God gave it to me. It will give you comfort.
However, there is something to note. It is that Adam and Eve had no offspring in the Garden of Eden. They were driven out of the Garden of Eden and had a child. What does it mean? It means being born with sin.
That is why sin is born without being taught. Jean-Jacques Rousseau once said, “Everything is good when it leaves the hand of the Creator, but everything becomes evil when it comes into the hands of men.” But it is not. No matter how hard you try, your child's education is worthless. Get on your knees for your children's education. cling to God
3. Control your anger - The second tragedy in human history - Abel is killed by Cain.
1 John 3:11-15 The Bible says that if you hate your brother, you murder. = If there is someone who cannot forgive, the sense of salvation will disappear. When God gives salvation to man, three fruits appear: forgiveness, repentance, and faith. It is a common fruit that appears in all New Testaments. For man there is forgiveness, for sin there is repentance, and for God there is faith. If there is sin in me, the assurance of salvation disappears. When you forgive others, you surprise yourself.
Verse 12 tells us not to be like Cain. Why did you kill him? because his deeds are evil
Jude 11 tells us there is always someone under the influence of Satan. Don't let the devil use you. A person with anger, a person being used by Satan. Anyone who is full of anger for whatever reason is a fake. When you live your life of faith, you should not fight with emotions for any reason. To lose is to win. It may seem like nothing, but God gives it to you, even if it seems that everything has been taken away like the bud.
4. Cain, what was the last mistake?
Cain offered a sacrifice from the produce of the earth, and God did not accept his sacrifice. Why didn't you get it? There is nothing definitively known, and we can only infer various circumstances. The important thing is that God did not accept it. The question is, what was Cain to do when God did not accept the sacrifice?
You can do a ritual show. Then God will not accept it. In Korea, sacrifices are made to the dead. You can worship the dead like that. God never accepts that worship. Then we must repent.
When a person sins, God does not immediately judge him. A picture of God's mercy. What's wrong with your complexion? If it were a human, I would just strike a lightning bolt to kill it or cause a car accident. But God is patient. always appear mercifully. He is trying to give him a chance to repent.
When God's children are given the opportunity to repent, they must repent.
# Abel is said to be righteous in the New Testament. Why? Because he gave the best before God.
