Sermon Text I Genesis 2:15-17 The LORD God took the man and placed him in the Garden of Eden to rule over it and to keep it. The LORD God commanded the man, saying, From any tree in the garden you may eat freely, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. don't eat it, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die.
Sermon content
We testify of the Word of the Apostles' Creed, our confession of faith. God created Eden in the East, and in that land there were common fruit trees, the tree of life, and the tree of the good and evil.
A river flowed from Eden and watered the garden, and from there it parted and became four springs. He put the man he had made there and made him rule over it and keep it.
God commanded the man, “From any tree in the garden you may eat freely, but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day you eat of it you will surely die.” You said.
Lesson 1. The reality of the Garden of Eden
God created man and created the Garden of Eden and placed it there. The Garden of Eden is the reality in which people reside. All the realities we encounter today are like the Garden of Eden created by God. As many fruits are beautiful to look at and good to eat in the Garden of Eden, we have everything we need to live.
2. God's command to keep in the Garden of Eden
1) Give thanks. God, who loves me, made all realities into the Garden of Eden, which is necessary to achieve eternal life, so we should not envy or covet the reality of others, but live with gratitude in everything.
2) Take control Don't be driven by reality, you must control it. To obey God's guidance at that time is to rule the reality of the Garden of Eden.
3) Keep it. In any reality, we must not tolerate things that God does not allow. We must defeat the delusion of the devil dressed in the skin of a snake, armed with the word of God.
4) Eat common fruit. All things were created for us. All you need to do is to take anything from the Word that God has given you and make it your food.
5) Do not eat from the fruit of good and evil. If you do anything God forbids, you will surely perish and die. No matter how delicious it is, it is pleasing to the eye, and it seems desirable enough to make you wise, but if you eat it, you will die.
6) Eat the Fruit of Life If you eat the Fruit of Life, you will live forever. Life is connected with God. Wearing the merits of the blood of Jesus and living according to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the truth is life and the life of eating. You must live a life of eternal life by living a life connected with God.
If you do what God tells you to do by keeping the six commandments to be kept in the Garden of Eden in reality, and do not do what God says you are not supposed to do, you will receive the promised life, freedom, peace, and eternal life.
