Title: Give Me the Body of Jesus
Contents Give me the body of Jesus (John 19:38-42)
Jesus was resurrected (Mark 16:6, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 16-17). Why is the resurrection of Jesus so important? Because Jesus is the victory over the devil, good over evil, truth over lies, love over hate, and life over death. Above all, because it means my resurrection, the resurrection of all of us. The resurrection of Jesus has a double meaning. (1) It is the resurrection of the body in the afterlife where I will be resurrected from the dead and gain eternal life. (2) It is the temporal resurrection in which we are freed from all the suffering that weighs us down today. I bless you not only to be resurrected in heaven, but also to be resurrected on this earth.
One caveat when taking Jesus' body is that it must endure three dark days. Even if all the people around you laugh at me, I hope you will bear the criticism and persecution with the conviction that the Lord's resurrection will happen after three dark days. Joseph of Arimathea was both a ruler and a rich man. When he demanded the body of Jesus, he must have been prepared to lose his life and his position and property. Even in the church, there are people who talk a lot and just watch. The mistake that Peter made was that he was trying to receive the glory of the resurrection in his bedroom. If you truly want to be the protagonist of the resurrection, you must take the body of Jesus. I must be willing to give my all, even my life, for the Lord.
An angel came down and rolled over the large stone that blocked the tomb of Jesus. Everyone in this world has their own grave. The grave of business, children and health. Do you want the stone gates of the graves that torment you wide open? If the body of Jesus is enshrined, the firmly closed stone door will be opened. Spend all your time, money, and health for the Lord! The miracle of the resurrection takes place. I want you to know that this is the time of my blessing when the church, country, and family are having a hard time. Peter was ashamed before the resurrected Lord, but Joseph of Arimathea became a glorious man, and the Bible says to him. “He was also a disciple of Jesus.” It is recorded that Joseph of Arimathea, who had Jesus in the tomb prepared for him, was also a disciple of Jesus. I pray that you will become such a disciple of Jesus.
