In other words, it means that Chapter 5 begins on the basis of Chapters 1 through 4. Chapters 1 to 4 can be summed up in one word: we who were sinners were saved by God's grace (Romans 3:24).
Humans do not have the ability to solve the problem of sin on their own. So I had no choice but to live as a slave to sin
God has been freed freely by grace through His Son, Jesus Christ. The Bible describes this as ‘justified’.
He goes on to say, “Because we have been justified by faith.” That's right. Grace is not achieved, but received, gained (:2). So, the blessing I received is ‘peace’ (:1). Peace means that the enemy's relationship is broken and the relationship is close. Peace in the text refers to a relationship with God. There are three graces we receive when we are at peace with God.
1. You will enter into the grace of God.(:2)
When we begin to believe in God, from then on, we begin to become children of God. So now you can go before God and pray confidently.
2. Get the grace to stand (:2)
3. It makes me happy.(:2)
By believing in God, we become righteous, we come to God, we stand by faith, and we are able to rejoice. As for the reason for rejoicing, the second half of the text explains, “We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.”
We should be able to give thanks not only for the food and the mouth, but also for the grace of God. And what we must know is that God's grace includes suffering. Many people say that they have difficulties because they lack faith. But tribulation does not come because we do not have faith, but because we have faith.
That is why we testify that afflictions do not only hurt us, but fulfill our hope, and that hope is poured out with God's love (:3-5).
The first condition should be that our gratitude for today is not because of me, but because of God's grace. Remember that you can receive greater love from God in suffering. I pray in the name of the Lord that more things of thanks may be given through God's grace.
