Title: Give thanks for two spiritual blessings.

Contents

Subject: Give thanks for two spiritual blessings.

Word: Ephesians 1:7-14

What is the point of today's message?

1. The forgiveness of sins, that is, salvation in Jesus Christ, is a <blessing>.

* The exhausted spiritual life is now bright and rich.

2. You have also been <sealed> in the Holy Spirit and have been assured of <safety>.

And the Apostle Paul blesses us to realize how important these blessings are and live.

First, we must give thanks for the blessings we have received through Jesus.

Four <blessings> come to us through faith in Jesus.

** These are things that cannot be obtained from the <blessing> of the worldly concept.

1) That you are saved in Jesus.

2) that sins are forgiven in Jesus,

3) That you have obtained the wisdom that Jesus gives.

4) To enjoy abundance in Jesus.

1. What is the meaning of the <blessing> of being saved in Jesus?

1) What does “salvation” or “redemption” mean? It means <purchase the price again>.

** in other words? It contains the meaning of <getting out of the paper identity>.

What is the <identity of the servant>? It refers to the <identity of sin>.

<The redemptive event of Jesus Christ> that is, his death changed us from <belonging to sin> to <belonging to God's people>.

All these processes? It can only be achieved through <the death of Jesus Christ>.

You cannot atone for <your own sins>.

In the Old Testament, <God's forgiveness of sins> was declared only when the people of Israel repented <in the heart> while looking at the <animal or sacrifice> that died for <me>.

But not now.

2. What is the meaning of the <blessing> of receiving the forgiveness of sins in Jesus?

1) What is <Forgiveness>?

** <Forgive> It starts with forgiving those who cannot.

The <a sinful life> is also made in <I give up on myself>, but it also means <abandoning about punishing someone who has committed a crime>.

** This is God's renunciation.

what kind of waiver?

<It refers to the sacrifice of his beloved Son, Jesus Christ, in exchange for us who are sinners>

- Giving up as a father?

It is not that He does not love His Son, but that He saves us who are sinners through His Son.

“By his blood we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins” (verse 7).

3. What is the <blessing> that you have gained the wisdom that Jesus gives you and have gained abundance?

1) Generally, it is not a blessing given to everyone.

What is God's plan of salvation and God's love for us who have become sinners?

It is a fact known to <saints>, but unknown to unbelievers.

** What about <wisdom>? It means seeing and knowing the <truth>

What are the deep things related to God? It can only be discovered through <the wisdom given by God>.

The <event of salvation> can be known with the wisdom that God gives.

2) In the end, those who are supplied with <wisdom> will enjoy the blessings of life through <the wisdom given by God>.

** It transcends the blessings of material concepts.

because? <The insight that enables you to know the Word of God, the ability to realize and live the truth, and to live is not something that money can buy

(1 John 5:20) <And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, that we may know the true one, and that we are in the true one, his Son Jesus Christ, who is the true God and eternal life.>

He teaches <the mystery of God's will through the lives of these blessed people>.

** The most beautiful blessing of those who are saved is that they come to know the <secret> of God's will.

- <The most important theme and thought of Ephesians>

Second, we must be thankful for the blessing of the secret so that we can live according to the will of God.

1. God has an eternal purpose and plan for the world.

2. It means that the world created by God is not divided.

(Ephesians 6:12) <Put on the full armor of God. Our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against rulers and authorities, and against the rulers of this new image of darkness, and against the spirits of evil in the heavens.”

** God's concern for all generations? It leads <division> to <unity>.

- Why does God care so much about division and disagreement?

<Because man was separated from God by sin>

"It is said that man is separated from man"

<Because Christians are out of harmony with other Christians>

<Because Christians are not in harmony with God.

<Because the members of the family were divided among each other>

ex) The death of the doctor's wife - Unable to control momentary violence due to her husband's game addiction.

“Because slaves are divided from their masters.”

ex) In the end, the appearance of politics inconsistent with one theme is <the division between slaves and masters>.

<Because man is not in harmony with the cosmic powers> - Separation from nature.

this division?

They are always attached to people and torment them, and people can't always get out of this state.

Paul's solution is simple.

(Ephesians 1:9-10) <He made us known the mystery of His will through wisdom and understanding.... He ordained in Christ for the dispensation of the fulness of times. . ... that all things in heaven and on earth might be united in Christ>

<For unity in Christ> - When you are in Jesus, division and discord can be prevented.

- It is possible with the blood of the cross.

- He reconciles human beings and human beings through his church.

- Through the power and fruit of the Holy Spirit, believers are reconciled to God.

- He reconciles <family members> by showing the love of Jesus through the church.

- He reconciles servants and masters by placing them on an equal footing before Jesus.

3. Following <God's economy>, <this is the mystery of God>.

** It is unknown now, but <the time will pass and the new order will pass>.

What do you mean by "cycle"? It means "to be tidy".

** This concept refers to <the universe is under the control of God>.

God? He is handling, planning, arranging, and managing all things toward the apex for Jesus and all his followers.

After all, what about going to the end?

<Discordant division, all evil> will be subdued and united in Jesus.

4. Jesus is the <head> established and appointed by God for the new creation and new order.

* The church is therefore <the Lord's instrument for reconciliation and peace, and should be a body that can reveal Jesus to the world>

1) Specifically, <what is reconciliation, what is peace> you must tell the world the message of Jesus.

2) <Reconciliation> must be practiced.

Remember that you are called to be the beginning of the kingdom of God on earth.

Third, we should be thankful for being sealed.

(Ephesians 1:13-14) <When you also heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, you were also sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, which became the guarantee of our inheritance, and ransomed what we had gained.>

1. You must not be satisfied with being saved.

** Being saved is such a great blessing. A greater blessing is the <sealing> of the Holy Spirit.

This is a <warranty>.

What is <Warranty>? It means <mortgage>, <collateral>, and <down payment>.

It refers to the giving of the <Spirit> to us to give us the <confidence of salvation>.

What does it mean to have given the <Spirit> and sealed it? In the end, it says that it has become <God's property>.

2. Thank God for the spiritual blessings He has given me!

This goes beyond the simple <event> of becoming a saint, it refers to the complete transfer of ownership, and in the end, it refers to the restoration of the church, family, and myself to the original shape that God created us.

This is such a great spiritual blessing.

Blessed be the saints who live with a grateful heart.
