Title: Genealogy of Jesus
"The genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of Abraham and David..."
'The genealogy...' is the pride of the family.
One of my friends had a descendant of a fallen noble family.
The family was in a difficult situation in the future..
With pride in the family, I saw that only the genealogy was kept very preciously.
In today's text, 'the genealogy of Jesus' is recorded, but from a human point of view, we are not so proud.
But without hiding any of these shameful genealogy
What is written is some deep, love and intention of God toward us.
Verse 3 says that Judah fathered Perez and Zerah by Tamar.
The relationship between Judah and Tamar is that of father-in-law and daughter-in-law.
What the hell was the story between the father-in-law and the daughter-in-law?
Tamar wants to take revenge on her father-in-law for not keeping her promise.
Disguised as a prostitute, she seduced her father-in-law and gave birth to a child through a physical relationship.
The second woman among the ancestors of Jesus was Rahab the prostitute.
Still, Rahab risked her life for the Israeli soldiers who came to spy on Jericho.
By hiding it, he and his whole family were saved and entered the ranks of Jesus' ancestors.
Rahab later... married Salmon and had 'Boaz', but
He is also recorded as a shameful prostitute in the 'King James,' version.
But we shouldn't judge people by profession.
Outwardly holy..? Even though I have a job,
Sexual immorality and wickedness can still remain, and although she has a low job like the prostitute Rahab,
The fire of faith toward God can be kindled in the heart.
It is not only the chosen people of Israel
It is God's grace toward the 'souls...' prepared in all nations.
In the genealogy of Jesus, the third woman, Ruth, appeared in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah.
There, Lot's two daughters, who grew up watching and learning from the lewd behavior of the residents,
He got his father drunk and got drunk,
He is a descendant of Moab, the son of his eldest daughter, whom he had acquired through 'incest' with his father. {window. 19}
Next... David we know well.
In verse 6, it is recorded that David gave birth to Solomon by the wife of his loyal general, 'Uria'.
David, who was always victorious by God's grace, was momentarily negligent and eventually fell to Satan's great temptation. {2 Sam 11}
David sent the commander in chief Joab to hide his crime of adultery.
'Bathsheba's husband, General Uriah, was at the forefront and taught murder to death by the enemy's sword.
David, who praised God for his faith and faithfulness, how could he deal with such an evil sin?
Can it be done... Even in the laws of the world, the sin of the person who 'directed the murder' is greater than the person who committed the murder.
Yes... The number one cause of fall and failure of exceptional people is 'negligence'.
We each have our spiritual weaknesses.
Even after becoming a deacon and elder, it's still 'living like a blue,' blood or something like that.
Church members who are greedy for riches and show shame to the world due to bribes,
Those who are weak to the lusts of the flesh and the temptations of reason...
Satan knows exactly where we are weak and is attacking us according to our opportunities.
'But a spiritual person' is aware of these weaknesses and always prepares his heart.
The devil is terrifying. Obscenity is something you usually do implicitly
The 'ideal type...' that you have been thinking about is perfected and presented, creating an environment.
It is not difficult to resist this temptation unless you normally pray about this matter.
Aren't the representative people 'Samson, David, Solomon...'?
All of these men were masters of the faith.
Carelessness, carelessness is the problem. That is why the Bible tells us to 'pray without ceasing'.
We should always pray and be vigilant for those who are weak in our faith.
What did you feel while looking at the 'genealogy' of Jesus today?
In Jesus' shameful genealogy, there is God's deep 'consideration and love...' for our weak and saints.
He gives comfort and hope to many sinners on this earth.
Among the ancestors of Jesus, there were immoral women like Tamar.
There are women who have had shameful jobs... There are 'murderers,' like David.
This world is invisible on the outside, but on the inside it is a strictly hierarchical society.
As there is a saying in human relationships,
Even if there is a slight difference in each other's thoughts and positions, it is not easy to share deep friendships.
Today, our Savior
Jesus came to us 'in the lowest form...' on this earth. Hallelujah!
?쏷hen she gave birth to her firstborn son, wrapped him in cloths, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for him in the inn.??{Luke 2:7}
