1. The meaning and norm of prayer
① The meaning of prayer- Calvin says this during his Christian exhortation. 'Prayer is really like the breath of faith, the knowledge of the holy doctrine is a living sign in my body.' God justifies me, so I must cry out to God. Prayer is spiritual fellowship. It is a close communion with God.
②Prayer norms- The norms refer to how you will pray when you pray. First, we must make our minds and hearts fit for conversation with God. Second, we must always recognize that we are in need and need God's mercy and great grace. Third, we must throw away any pride in ourselves, our thoughts, pride, and pride that stand before God. Fourth, we must pray with confidence.
2. Prayer in the Old Testament
Old Testament prayer is always associated with a specific event. God in history and earnest intercession in history
①Moses' prayer- Moses rescued the Israelites and interceded for their sins. You can also hear earnest appeals to God. (Exodus 33:17, Exodus 32:32)
② The prayers of the prophets and kings

3. Prayer in the New Testament
① Jesus' teaching on prayer- The Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13, Luke 11:2-4), prayer without doubts (Mark 11:23), Do not repeat babblings (Matthew 6:7), eternal food (John 6:27),
②Pray for the fulfillment of Jesus' mission- On the mountain, at the time of baptism, at the time of choosing disciples, in the wilderness
③Jesus’ Passion and Prayer- In the Garden of Gethsemane, Satan’s Temptation, On the Cross
④ Jesus' resurrection and prayer- Matthew 6:33 (Seek first the kingdom and its righteousness), John 15:7
4. Elements of Prayer
①Faith- Without faith it is impossible to please the Lord. Believe and believe that you have received it.
②Confession- Isaiah 6:5, I confessed all my sins. open my lips
③Gratitude and Worship- Thinking of God’s great love, giving thanks for His grace, and exalting Him
④ Determination- It is a promise to devotion. A decision to live for the one who redeemed me and loved me
⑤ Supplication - These are personal matters.

① The sins of the heart (Psalm 66:18)
② Failure to listen to God's law (Proverbs 28:9)
③ A heart that departs from God (Isaiah 29:13)
④ Separation from God by sin (Isaiah 59:2)
⑤ Love the twisted way (Jeremiah 14:10-12)
⑥ Offering worthless sacrifices (Mal 1:7-9)
⑦ Doubt or double-mindedness (James 1:6-7)
⑧ Asking wrongly to use it for lust (James 4:3)

②Time for prayer- Prayer time in the Bible (Three times a day, 6 o'clock, 9 o'clock, morning sacrifice, evening sacrifice)
