9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
9:2 Every beast of the earth, and every bird of the air, and every creeping thing on the ground, and every fish of the sea will fear you and will dread you, for they have delivered into your hand.
9:3 Every living animal shall be your food, and I give it all to you like a vegetable.
9:4 But you shall not eat meat with its lifeblood.
9:5 I will surely seek your blood, the blood of your life; if it is an animal, in the beast, if it is a man or a brother of a man, in him I will find his life.
9:6 For whosoever shed human blood, by man his blood shall be shed, for God made man in His own image.
9:7 Be fruitful and multiply, and spread over the earth, and multiply among them.
9:8 God spoke to Noah and his sons with him, saying,
9:9 I will make my covenant with you and with your descendants
9:10 to every living creature that is with you, the birds and the livestock that are with you, and to every living thing of the earth, to every thing that came out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
9:11 I will make a covenant with you, and I will never again destroy every living creature with a flood, and there will be no more flood to sink the earth.
9:12 This is the evidence of the covenant that I make between me and you and every living creature with you, says God, to everlasting times.
9:13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, this is the proof of my covenant with the world.
9:14 When I cover the earth with a cloud and a rainbow appears in the cloud,
9:15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and every living creature, and the water will never again become a flood that destroys all living beings.
9:16 The rainbow will be among the clouds, and I will see and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every blood on the earth
9:17 And God said to Noah, "This is the evidence of the covenant I made between me and every living thing on the earth."
9:18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham, and Japheth; Ham was the father of Canaan.
9:19 After these three sons of Noah, a people spread throughout the land.
9:20 Noah began farming and planted vines.
9:21 They drank wine, were drunk, and were naked in their tents.
9:22 When Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father's naked body, he went out and told the two brothers.
9:23 And Shem and Japheth took their clothes, put them on their shoulders, and went back in, and covered their father's naked body; and they turned their faces and did not see their father's nakedness.
9:24 Noah woke up and knew what the younger son had done to him.
9:25 And he said, Cursed is Canaan, that he may become the servant of his brother's servants.
9:26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD, the God of Shem; for Canaan has become Shem's servant.
9:27 May God make Japheth great, to dwell in the tents of Shem, and to make Canaan his servant.
9:28 After the flood Noah lived three hundred and fifty years.
9:29 And he died at the age of nine hundred and fifty years.
10:1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and they begot sons after the flood.
10:2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
10:3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Ribat, and Togarmah.
10:4 The sons of Javan were Elisha, Tharsis, Kittim, and Dothanim.
10:5 From these they were divided into peoples of various nations, and they dwelt in the land by the sea, each according to their tongue and tribe and nation.
10:6 The sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, and Pu, and Canaan.
10:7 The sons of Cush: Sheba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raama, and Sabtekah. The sons of Raama were Sheba and Dedan.
10:8 Cush also begat Nimrod, who was the first youngest in the world.
10:9 Because he became a peculiar hunter before the LORD, there is a saying, "No man is a peculiar hunter before the LORD, like Nimrod."
10:10 His kingdom began in the land of Shinar in Babel, Erech, Acgad, and Cale.
10:11 And he went out of that land into Assyria, and Nineveh, and Rehobothil, and Calah,
10:12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (which is a great city).

10:16 And the Jebusites, and the Amorites, and the Girgas,
10:17 The Hivites and the Argasians and the Sinites
10:18 fathered the fathers of the Irwadites, the Shemarites, and the Hamathites; and after that, the Canaanites were scattered.
10:19 And the border of Canaan was from Sidon through Gerar to Gaza, and through Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lhasa.
10:20 These were the children of Ham, after every tribe and tongue and region and nation.
10:21 Shem was the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, and children were born to him.
10:22 The sons of Shem: Elam, Assyria, Arphaxad, Ruth, and Syria.
10:23 The sons of Aram: Uz, Hur, Keder, and Masch.
10:24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, Shelah fathered Eber.
10:25 Eber bore two sons, and called the name of the one Peleg, for at that time the world was divided; and the name of Peleg's younger brother was Joktan.
10:26 Joktan, Almodad, Seleb, Hasalmaweb, Jera,
10:27 Hadoram, and Uzzar, and Tigla,
10:28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
10:29 And begat Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab, all the sons of Joktan.
10:30 Their dwelling place was on the mountain on the east side of the road from Mesha to Sephar.
10:31 These were the children of Shem, according to their tribes and tongues and lands and nations.
10:32 These are the families of the children of Noah, according to their worlds and nations, from whom the peoples of the nations of the earth were divided after the flood.
