(Zep 3:14-20)

Verse 16 says, “In that day no man shall say to Jerusalem, Fear not, O Zion, do not let your hand hang down.” As said, the circumstances of the times were full of things that kill people's spirits. The background of the times when these words were given through the prophet Zephaniah was the reign of King Josiah, and his grandfather Manasseh and father Amon were corrupted in religion and morals and were kings who committed violence. Moreover, idolatry and prostitution such as the sun god and Baal were rampant in the temple in Jerusalem, and the people were in despair due to poverty and confusion. At this time, God calls the prophet Zephaniah, sends a message of hope to the people who are in despair, and explains why we need to gain strength again.

The first reason is that there is no need to despair because God has forgiven the sins of the people as in verse 15 of the main text. There are many reasons why we sometimes with and wither as we go through life. But the most important reason is that we are not free from sin. Because we commit sins and the resulting guilt always haunts us, we become frustrated and lose the will to live and courage. However, the prophet Zephaniah says in today's verse, "God has taken away your punishment." Now we have our sins forgiven and we are set free. Please remember that there is no condemnation for us when we meet God in that freedom and are forgiven.

The second reason is in verse 17, “The LORD your God is in your midst, the Almighty who will save you.” It is because God is with us. God is our Father. Because the Father holds us in his boundless bosom and holds us in his mighty hand, no one can snatch us out of God's hand. I hope that you will live in the hands of Almighty God.

The third and final reason is that God loves us.

Verse 17 says, “He will not rejoice over you; he will quietly love you; he will rejoice over you with singing and rejoicing.”

It is a word that allows you to feel God's gaze toward me with full love's eyes and moving affection. Put your name in verse 17 and meditate on it. You will be impressed. That God, the Creator of the universe, truly loves each and every one of you. I hope you will discover God's love for you in this way. When we find that love, our faces will brighten and shine.

Saints with sagging shoulders and dying spirit.

Now, I hope you can straighten your sagging shoulders proudly and straighten your qi. Because Almighty God is on your side in any situation and is with you in His mighty hand and love. Please believe and rely on the fact that the Almighty God, who will provide salvation, will give you strength and give you the strength to soar up with wings.
