Title: Get Up, Let's Go Together
Content Thu: Rise up, let's go together
Text: Mark 14:38-42
From verse 32, the text is a prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane and is often appropriate for Holy Week. We cannot go anywhere or any other way because God has ordained us to go with Jesus Christ. Paul was called on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3-6), and just as Saul was Paul, we must change our lives to follow.
1. Continue to pray 38-39
2. Dealing with the situation 40-
“When he looked again, he saw that they were asleep… they did not know what to answer.”
They could have died with the Lord as they confessed in their hearts (verse 31), but it was not easy for them to pray because their spirits were changed. If we do not expand the boundaries of our prayers, the Lord will not recognize us (Matthew 7:22-23). When a difficult situation comes to your faith life, you should not try to sneak over it because you are tired of being tired, but God will help you if you are immersed in prayer, like Jesus, pouring out blood (Luke 22:43-44). Even the priests of Baal, who worshiped idols, found the god Baal and cut themselves and cried out with blood (1 Kings 18:28). If you experience an unavoidable situation, you will not be able to say anything you are sorry or ashamed of, far from following the Lord.
3. Death must be overcome 41-42
(Conclusion) If you are a Christian, you must follow Christ. Peter gave up everything in order to follow him (Mark 10:28), and Paul also lost everything and regarded it as dung (Philippians 3:8). If you do not follow the Lord and fall into the world, keep in mind that your life is in vain, and if you follow Him diligently, you will have blessings and glory on earth and in heaven, so we must participate in “Rise up, let’s go together.”
