Title: Gigal Who Didn't Hear the Word!
And now, with the development of communication technology, anyone can use the Internet to access the libraries of leading seminaries around the world if they wish, and look at the theologians who say that they can do whatever they want. For those who find it difficult to go to Christian bookstores, they start with commentaries and come up with special books under the name of helping them understand the Bible. And if you go to each church site, you will find a lot of sermons produced and uploaded that day. It is no exaggeration to say that we are now living in the flood of the Word.
If we do not eat rice or food that we eat every day, the bones are damaged and we can feel that we are losing weight right away. When we stop eating the food we eat, we immediately feel it through our skin. But our spirit is never satisfied with how much food we consume. And no matter how hungry we are, it doesn't make us hungry right away. Only when the spirit eats the Word of the Spirit can it feel full and makes it feel hungry.
Then, even if we receive and eat the words that are preached, will our spirits die? What we need to realize here is that the words delivered through servants and those delivered through the Son of God are different in essence, even though they have the same purpose. It is said that a dead human spirit cannot be brought back to life through the words transmitted through the servants, and that the dead human spirits can only be brought back to life through the words transmitted through the Son. The words transmitted through the servants are only a reminder of human sinfulness. Therefore, since the servant is not in the essence of God like the Son of God, he is not in a position to forgive the sins of mankind.
Even those who preach the same word, the difference between those who have the Spirit of the Lord in their hearts and those who do not are as different as heaven and earth. First of all, for people to hear right now, the words of a person with the same heart as other people will be the sweetest and most audible. A slightly more difficult person is a person who speaks with the Holy Spirit. So, what is the most annoying sound for humans to hear? That is what the Lord is saying. Often people think that the Lord is kind and loving, so they only see Him as a very kind person. Of course, the Lord is clearly merciful and kind. But he was not kind and loving toward anyone. He does not break himself as a sinner, and he lashes out at arrogant and disrespectful people without mercy as children of vipers. But it is the Lord who gives even His life to those who come out who break Himself as a sinner.
When we realize this reasoning, where does the thirst for the Word come from? You have to realize that you are starting with yourself. If I know where I came from and where I am going in life, when I hear the word of the Lord, I can beat myself to make it obedient. But if he does not know me, he will surely try to reveal his righteousness first when the voice of the Lord is heard. It is pleasing to the listeners when they interpret the Bible with human thoughts and pass it on to people. However, the word preached according to the will of the Holy Spirit is nasty because it does not consider the human standpoint. However, the Son's words are words that split the human spirit, soul, and joints, so no one in this world will like them. In order to quench your thirst for the Word, you must listen to these words. But who would like to hear something like this? It is the hunger of the word itself that dislikes hearing such words, but no one thinks it is hunger.
Today, we are studying the hunger of the words spoken by the prophet Amos. The thirst for the Word is not to quench our spiritual thirst by reading and memorizing the Word of God recorded in the Bible a thousand times or ten thousand times. In order to relieve the thirst of our spirit, we must fulfill all the words written in the Bible in our body. To do this, after I die and the Spirit of Christ sits in me, the thirst of our spirits will be quenched.
