Title: Go by Faith / Joshua 6:2-7

Contents

Today, we would like to share grace through the faith of Joshua. When I think of Joshua, two striking events come to mind. One is Joshua, who reported the report of faith with Caleb after spying on Canaan. Another is the occupation of Jericho in today's text. What these two events have in common is ‘belief’. In fact, the center of all the words of the Bible is this word ‘faith’. What is the life of a saint? It is a life lived by faith. The life of a believer is to be saved by faith and to live by faith. I bless you that it will be a time to confirm your faith once again through today's Word.

1. Joshua imitated Moses' faith. This faith of Joshua was learned from Moses. Joshua succeeded Moses as leader of Israel. Joshua became the leader of Israel not only because he spyed out the land of Canaan 40 years ago and reported his faith. Joshua followed Moses like a servant of Moses, lifted up his feet, and served Moses. Through this kind of service, we can imitate the faith of Moses, receive the power of Moses, and learn the leadership of Moses. This made Joshua the successor to Moses. It was Joshua who accompanied Moses and waited patiently with him while he was staying on Mount Sinai for 40 days. Moses rose up with his servant Joshua, and Moses went up to the mountain of God Exodus 24:13

Please use . May your beliefs be put into action through your devotion. It is a used faith, a living faith. We believe that the Holy Spirit is with us in faith in action and devotion.

3. Joshua had obedient faith. Before the command to occupy Jericho, Joshua absolutely obeyed. It was a method that could not be comprehended by the worldly thought. In front of the ark of God, the seven priests sounded their trumpets, and the soldiers followed after them, going around Jericho once every day. At that time, Jericho was an impregnable castle with double walls made of solid bricks. However, it was not to attack anything, just to carry the ark and go around it once a day, and on the seventh day, go around it seven times. Would this have been a command that would make sense to a common-sense person? But Joshua obeyed these words. And the people of Israel obeyed Joshua. Just as Joshua became a great leader with Moses as a mentor, the second generation took Joshua and his faith as their mentors.

What is your Jericho before you? Various situations that hinder my faith, problems that I cannot do by myself, problems that are blocked, or unknown times when tomorrow is unknown, that would be our Jericho. In front of all such future Jericho, the Lord commands us. 'Faith' There is not a single word in the Bible that is not faith. There was never any power, grace, or faith in the Bible. He speaks to us today. As I am with you, I bless the saints who go through faith and enjoy a victorious life.
