Let's go crazy for the Lord
2 Corinthians 5:13-15
Who is good at evangelism? Perhaps you want to become a person who can evangelize better than anyone else. So, who is good at evangelism? Do you have a lot of knowledge of the Bible? Have you been to church for a long time? Is it someone who does a lot of volunteer work? The answer is no. So who are you? A person who has the emotion of the gospel A person who has a burning passion for love for the Lord. Such a person is, in a word, crazy for the Lord.
In today's text, the apostle Paul says that even if you are crazy, it is for God. When we say crazy, we mean a state of ecstasy. They take off their clothes and dance, saying they like it, sometimes laughing and sometimes crying.
A lot of people today are crazy. Some people are crazy about dancing, some people are crazy about money, some people are crazy about pleasure, and some people are addicted to something. It's about living with something.
The apostle Paul was crazy about the gospel and crazy about Jesus. Therefore, he lived his whole life solely for the sake of the gospel. No, he gave his life for the gospel. Acts 20:24 I do not consider my life of any value as of any value in order to finish my course and the mission I received from the Lord Jesus to testify to the gospel of grace.
How could the Apostle Paul confess that he would lay down his life for the gospel?
1. The apostle Paul knew the value of the gospel.
The value of the gospel is worth exchanging even for life. Because there is no hope on this earth except to preach the gospel. Because if there is only hope for a sinful man, that is to believe in Jesus and be saved.
The most precious and greatest blessing in this world is to believe in Jesus and be saved. If our Jesus gains the whole world and loses his own soul, what profit is it? Yes, even if all real estate in the world is registered in my name, what does that mean if I die? Therefore, my life is worth more than everything in the world. But when that life ends, it ends. In other words, that precious life exists only in the world. But the salvation of life and eternal life that Jesus gave is eternal. Therefore, the value of the gospel is more valuable than my life. That is why those who know the value of the Gospel have given their lives and even their lives for the Gospel. The disciples of Jesus finished the gospel for the sake of the gospel.
1. The apostle Paul experienced the power of the gospel.
Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
The power of your gospel is the power of God for salvation to all who believe. When we preach the gospel, we experience the power of the gospel. If you present the gospel, you will meet someone who accepts the gospel meekly. Therefore, if the person accepts the gospel purely, he or she will be saved. Do you think preaching the gospel is difficult or easy? If you think it's difficult, raise your hand. Raise your hand if you think it's easy.
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
3. The Apostle Paul said that God's love compels us.
Above all, if you have a passion for love for God, you are bound to evangelize. Therefore, it bears the fruit of evangelism. Therefore, it is urgent for us to restore God's first love.
When your virgin bachelors fall in love and get married, it is natural to bear the fruit of love. In other words, it is to bear lovely children as the fruit of love.
There are many infertile patients these days. That is why some babies are born in test tube and others are born by borrowing medicine. A lot of money is invested in this.
In our church, there is not a single person who cannot have children. If I pray in the name of the Lord, even those who could not have children become pregnant and have children. The deacon, who had not had children for 12 years, came to our church, received my prayers, and gave birth to a child, so now she is in 5th grade. If I pray to those who are pregnant and are wearing jebden, they will be healed. So, the members of our church do not suffer from morning sickness. What I wish for is that if I pray for you, it would be great if I could give birth to a spiritual child.
Everyone, those who love the Lord are bound to evangelize. The problem is that people have grown cold toward the Lord. Still, I believe that you came out to evangelize because you have a passion for loving the Lord.
Because we have a passion for loving the Lord, we believe that when we evangelize diligently while praying, we will surely bear the fruit of evangelism. Above all, you must have passion. And there must be a heart of love and pity for the soul. So you have to have patience and perseverance. Because they visit once or twice to evangelize and give up, they cannot bear fruit. The characteristic of evangelism kings is that they do not give up when there is a possibility.
The Apostle Paul today said that Jesus died on the cross for us and rose from the dead on the third day to save us, so that we may live for the Lord. is saying
Beloved, the fact that the Lord loved Him to the point of dying a cursed death on the cross for us does not mean that we should live for ourselves and go crazy with the world. It's just to live with the Lord. To know the value of the gospel, to experience the power of the gospel, and to live for the gospel. Therefore, the purpose of our life is to live for the gospel for the Lord. Do not worry about what you will eat or what you will drink, for the Gentiles seek it; seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
Everyone, we who have been saved must live our lives as evangelists. Therefore, we must go all-in in evangelism. have to go crazy
