go to that deep

(Luke 5:1-11)

A poor young man always felt sorry for his poor life. Seeing this, the great landowner in the region called the young man and made a promise. Now, take a look at where I put this stick here. Now I tell you today, before the sun goes down, mark your land as much as you want to have. The land will now be yours. There is only one condition. He said that we must return to the place where we put this stick before the sun goes down.

He believed in his youth and ran with all his might. I almost forgot that I had to drink water and eat rice, thinking that it was my own as much as I ran. He has forgotten himself. It is noon. Now I feel bad about going back. I kept getting further and further away from the thought that if I went a little further, I could have more. Many envied the young man's luck and waited for the young man to come back as the sun went down. But the young man did not return. Because it went too far.

It's good for us to dream and it's good to be ambitious, but it's good to find the pleasures of the world, but we shouldn't go too far. Why did this young man go so far away that he could not return? Perhaps someone will say, “That young man was foolishly greedy.” Or, you might say, “You believed in that young man too much.” You might be thinking, “I must have been a weakling... I was not strong enough”. However, the only reason this young man did not return was that “he is a person who does not know grace and gratitude.” A person full of greed has no thanks and does not know the grace of God.

That is why the Bible says, “When they knew God, they did not glorify God or give thanks to Him; on the contrary, their thoughts became futile, and their foolish hearts were darkened; The deepest part of life, that is, a life that does not know God's grace is bound to fail. We must quickly forsake the path of greed and death and enter the world of God's grace.
