Title: The Amazing Grace of God
Contents:
Through the text, we can find the two contrasting aspects of Elijah, a prophet of great power, and the amazing grace of God.
Two contrasting faces of Elijah.
The figure of Elijah seen from Mount Carmel must have been a great leader, full of power and tireless. On the other hand, the figure of Elijah under the rodem tree is truly a desperate and insignificant human figure.
This is also the case with all of us. what is real
God's amazing grace
On Mount Carmel, he was seen as a God of amazing power.
The God who sent fire, the God who sent the rain, and the God who made it run faster than Ahab showed his great power.
He was seen as a wonderful God of comfort under the rosemary tree.
God comforted Elijah, who was extremely human and weak in the face of Jezebel's harsh and terrible persecution, and Elijah, who was exhausted from life, and Elijah, who was exhausted after being particularly concerned about his mission.
On Mount Horeb, the mountain of God, he was seen as a re-writing God.
God comforted Elijah and made him flee to Mount Horeb. When Elijah was hiding in the cave of Mount Horeb, God spoke to him in a small voice, and finally Elijah was given God's mission again.
God Who Makes Weak Stronger
No matter how great the prophets are, they are fundamentally weak beings, and all life is humble in the face of death.
We can only recover by the power of God.
All the circumstances surrounding Elijah are impossible. So I just want the great prophet Elijah to die too. But the power of God cannot do anything that cannot be done.
God who rewrites
Elijah was a great prophet, but he lost all his calling and mission and stood on the path of a weak loser who wanted to die lonely. But the amazing hand of God's grace came to him again. And he raised him up again and used him to fulfill his mission as the great prophet of Israel.
We too live by experiencing Mount Carmel and under the rosemary several times a day. Sometimes as a successful person, sometimes as a very fragile being!! God came to us to meet us and write us again.
