Title: God's Blessing/Psalm 128:1-6
God is the source of blessing who delights in blessing us. Psalm 128:1 says, 'Blessed are all who fear the Lord and walk in His ways.' Here, it is clearly explained who the person who receives the blessing from God is. So, what is the blessing here? It refers to God's blessing, and it means to receive God's special favor (grace).
I. Who is the lucky one?
Blessed are those who fear the Lord, that is, those who fear and honor Him. Proverbs 9:10 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Also, Proverbs 1:7 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. In other words, blessed are those who have wisdom and knowledge in this world, and having this knowledge and wisdom comes from the fear of the Lord, and those who fear the Lord can be blessed. He went one step further and said that everyone who walks in the way of God is blessed. The fear of the Lord is a thought and a thought. To walk in his path means to do, that is, to put into practice. In other words, blessed are those who fear the Lord and walk in that path.
II. what luck are you?
First, there is personal prosperity. Verse 2 says that you will eat according to the toil of your hands. God gives you work to work hard, gives you health to work hard, and gives you a reward commensurate with your hard work. And all of this is a blessing. Second, it is said to bring happiness to the family. There is family joy through a fruitful vine-like wife, a mature wife, and a blessing through young olive-tree children, children of infinite potential. Third, it is said that the church and society are blessed. Society is stable and prosperous, and the church is reviving and developing.
Ⅲ. Future Blessings: Peace in the Kingdom of God
It is said that the blessings of individuals, families, churches, and society are extended to the blessings of the future. Not only will our age prosper and prosper, but future generations will also be blessed. Also, you will be blessed not only in this world, but also in the world after the Second Coming of Jesus. 'Peace be with Israel' The peace of Israel means that there is even the kingdom of God, that is, the peace of heaven. That is, there is eternal peace.
Let me conclude.
By fearing the Lord, gaining wisdom and knowledge, and walking the path of God, we can live a blessed life. In the name of the Lord, I pray that God's blessing, this blessing, can become a blessing for the family today, a blessing for the church, society, and the eternal future.
