Bible Text: Isaiah 42:1
God's Chosen
“Behold my servant whom I hold, whom my heart delights in, whom I have chosen; I have given him my spirit, and he will bring justice to the Gentiles.”
Look at my chosen one! It says to look at the people of God whom God has chosen. God teaches that person to be “my servant”. What are the conditions of a great leader? To be a “good servant.” A “good servant” is not the person himself, but the master he has chosen. Who is a good owner? He is God.
God will hold you.
He said, “My servant whom I hold. He is a God-backed man. God sustains the one He has chosen. A servant of God is one who is held captive by God.
A slave to sin is a person caught up in sin. The owner is determined by who the person is captured by. If you are caught in darkness, you are a servant of darkness and a child of darkness. When the knife is in the hands of a doctor, it becomes a surgical knife and saves a person, and when the knife is in the hand of a robber, it becomes a weapon and kills a person.
The sick are those who are at the mercy of disease. In order for the sick to become healthy, they must be freed from the hands of disease. When Jesus healed the sick, He said, “Be free from your sickness and be well!” (Mark 5:33).
If you want to be freed, please free yourself from disease, from fear, from evil spirits. Free yourself from all addictions and get hold of God. Get rid of alcoholism, computer addiction, and gambling addiction. We must be freed from poverty and from the curse. God's chosen people are caught when God grabs them. When God grabs you, you must be caught, not running away. No, we must actively motivate ourselves and hold onto God. The prophet Isaiah was roused and lamented that no one could hold on to the Lord. If you hold on to God, catch it. catch me! You should.
The Apostle Paul said, “Not that I have already obtained it, nor that I have finished it, but I run to seize that for which I was captured by Christ” (Philippians 3:12).
“O Lord, take this hand and go, let this weak and weary body pass through the darkness of the storm with light.
Hand in hand and seal it / When life is hard and hardships overlap, Lord, help me, cry out
Please listen carefully to this voice and sign it by hand.”
Now, I hope that God will hold you and live. May God hold on to you as the staff was held in Moses' hand, as Moses held the staff in his hand.
God is pleased.
The person God has chosen is “the one with whom my heart is pleased”. What kind of person is pleasing to God? “Test what pleases the Lord” (Ephesians 5:10)
Faith. “Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He exists, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6). :4). A fool is said to have said in his heart that there is no God.
A person who lives in the Spirit. “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, whereby those who serve Christ are pleasing to God and acceptable to men” (Romans 14:17-18). Those who serve God with joy and joy, those who make peace and edify, please God.
He delights in those who worship with their whole body. “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship” (Romans 12:3). Worship is a sacrifice offered to God by God's chosen people. It is to glorify God's existence and creation, his character and grace. Our bodies were built to worship God. God delights in worshiping God with his whole body.
The obedient person pleases God. True obedience is only possible when you become a servant. “Samuel said to him, Speak, and your servant will hear” (1 Samuel 3:10).
Jesus rejoiced in subduing demons in the name of the Lord. When Jesus returned from evangelism and said, “The seventy returned with joy, saying, ‘Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name. I thank you for the manifestation to the children. It is true, for this is the will of the Father” (Luke 10:17,21).
God gives the spirit.
“I have given him my spirit” God has given the Spirit of God to the elect. The spirit that God has given is the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of God is God.
You must have the Spirit of God to have a relationship with God. It is the Spirit of God that likes the word of God and draws close to God.
“Those who follow the flesh set minds on the things of the flesh, but those who follow the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. The mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace. For those who are in the flesh cannot please God. If the Spirit of God dwells in you, you are not in the flesh but in the spirit. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not of Christ. ” (Romans 8:5-9)
It is because those who follow God have received the Spirit that God has given them. If you receive the Spirit that God gives you, you will follow God. Anyone who receives the Spirit of God will love God, and whoever loves God will accomplish all good. “We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). I hope you receive the Spirit of God and love God.
You must receive the Spirit of God to call God Abba, Father. The Holy Spirit testifies that I am a child of God. Receiving the Spirit of God gives us confidence in God's heritage. It is believed that I am the heir of God.
“Who can bring charges against God’s elect? It is God who justifies, and who can condemn… Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword…” Nothing in creation can separate us from the love that is in Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:33-39).
Even though Stephen was stoned and martyred, he looked at Jesus sitting on the throne. It was possible because he was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said that many are called, but few are chosen (Matthew 20:16). The Lord taught the apostle Paul and said that he was my chosen vessel (Acts 9:15). Choice implies a relationship for a special purpose. The choice contains God's heart, and God's decision is manifested. The chosen one is set apart for the work of God.
Your choices determine your destiny. God has chosen us and we have chosen God. Let's live in God's hands. Let God be with us by doing what pleases God! You have received the Spirit of God, so follow His Spirit.
