‘God’s co-workers’ (1 Corinthians 3:1-9)
The Corinthian church was a church with many spiritual problems. He was living a very shameful life in the church due to problems such as division, fornication, lawsuits, idolatry, and gifts. So the Apostle Paul sent 1 Corinthians to give them spiritual wisdom. At the same time, he said that he sowed and planted the seeds of the gospel, and Apollos watered them, but it was God who made the faith of the church members grow. Therefore, those who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ are God's co-workers.
1. God's house, church
When Paul heard the news of the church in Corinth, his heart ached. This is because it was the church that he personally went to preach the gospel and established. So I said that I still have no choice but to treat them like children. He rebuked them for being carnal and having envy and stripe among them. It is wrong for God's children to not love each other and fight bitterly. As God's people, we must become one with one another through understanding, forgiveness, and love.
2. Mature Christians
Those who do not follow the will of God and live according to the lusts of their own flesh cannot be called true saints. Spiritually mature saints can become one in the Lord by giving up greed and serving each other humbly. They will serve each other faithfully for the Lord and the church with all their hearts and minds. So, they please God and live a precious life that makes them imitate Jesus Christ.
3. God's co-workers
Jesus considered it most important to save sinners and lead them to God. So, like a farmer in the field, he sowed, nurtured, and reaped the seeds of the gospel. He also told the disciples to ask God to send workers to the harvest. We are called by God to work in God's field and to save souls. Therefore, let us know that we are God's co-workers and do our best to serve the work God has entrusted to us.
God has given us a precious mission to save and care for lost souls. Therefore, I hope that you will become saints who glorify God by reaping abundant fruits through prayer and evangelism with all your heart in this ‘Happiness Sharing Festival’.
