Title: God's Concern
Contents When we open Genesis 8, it is recorded that God finished the judgment of the flood and had Noah build the altar of burnt offering. Dear saint! God cares about you even in wrath. Even during the process of the flood judgment and at the end of the judgment, God's attention was directed toward Noah's family and the creatures in the ark (Genesis 8:1). Therefore, discipline and suffering will come to an end only when you are patient with the current situation. The deep pain and frustration will cease. God's interest in Noah's family at the time of the flood judgment was shown like this.
First, he caused a new wind to blow on the earth (Genesis 8:1).
Second, after the water gradually receded from the earth (Gen. 8:3).
Third, he gave a lesson through the raven and the dove (Gen. 8:6-14).
The time of the flood was one year and ten days. At this point, Noah and his family must have been patient. Have you been in a year and ten days of suffering and depression? God's interest continues, allowing us to feel the breath of God.
Fourth, He spoke the message of blessing to Noah (Genesis 8:15-19).
Fifth, He motivated Noah to build an altar (worship) (Genesis 8:26).
After that, God smelled the fragrance and withdrew the discipline like the judgment of the flood (Genesis 8:21). God's withdrawal is a sign of forgiveness. God's forgiveness is the conclusion of concern. Interest for salvation, longing for salvation, and curiosity about the process of salvation and trials become a life of worship just like Noah who built an altar.
Dear saint! As long as the earth remains, we will hear the breath of God by our side. I will sow and reap; I will not rest in cold or heat, summer or winter, day or night, in any case or any place. It is still too early to experience frustration, abandonment, discouragement, and regret. All you need is patience, isn't it? Wait for Noah's patience and the dove's new leaves of olives. -Amen-
