Sermons for Preaching

Title: God's Counsel (Ex 02:23-25)

1. God of Abraham

Abraham was originally an idolater. But God chose him when he said, “You are mine.” It is because Abraham had obedience, doing right, knowing, and having faith to build an altar. When God's command came, he simply obeyed without question, reason, or opinion. Abraham believed that God is my Father, the source of blessings, the source of all things, and the ruler and ruler of all things. And wherever he went, he had worship and faith to build an altar first. It was the faith of Abraham that pleased God. Therefore, Abraham received spiritual and physical blessings. For that reason, we should also have faith in obedience and worship while serving God as our Father. Then the God of Abraham will appear to us and give us the blessings he received.

2. The God of Isaac

Isaac was Abraham's 100-year-old son, a child of God's miraculous grace. But when he grew up beautifully, God told Abraham to slaughter Isaac and offer it as a sacrifice. Of course, this was a test of Abraham's faith. As soon as Abraham received God's command, he took his son Isaac and went to Mount Moriah. Abraham took up the sword to kill him and offer it as a sacrifice to God. But Isaac had no rebellion, no rebellion, no swearing, no shouting, no weeping, no irritation. He was patient, waited on God's will, and obeyed his father. Like this, Isaac had the faith to wait for God's will, obey his father, and endure in any case. This was in the heart of God. So God made Isaac inherit the sacrifice Abraham had received and took care of his life. Therefore, Isaac didn't do anything special for anything, but he received what God gave him and lived his whole life in peace, without regrets, pains, difficulties, and difficulties. Therefore, we must have the same faith as Isaac. At that time, we too will receive the blessings that Isaac received.
